Hi guys, just a quick report. We were at the Port Orleans French Quarter from July 26th thru August 3rd.
We had the DDp and totally enjoyed each and every meal, well except one.
Table Service:
Raglan Road- the service here was alright, nothing special but the food was amazing.
I had the shepards pie, DH had the Kevin's heavenly ham, DS14 had the Pie in the sky and DS9 had the kids shrimp. For dessert we got the bread & butter pudding, dunburody kiss and shared it. A place we will certainly go to again.
O'hana's- this was our second meal of the trip and at this point my boys thought I walk on water!
They totally enjoyed this meal and ate until they said they were going to bust! Everything was excellent and our waiters were very good. We had a blast here and it is a must return.
Toyoko Dining-I had planned this trip for a year. Asked monthly is there any place you want to visit not on my list?
Well, we get there and DH's friend called and wanted to meet for sushi one night so I cancelled our plans and made plans here.
This was our only disappointment the whole trip.
The food was just alright. Nothing special. The service was very good but the food was lacking. Not a place to return to next trip! Even my boys were disappointed and they love sushi.
Boma- Again this place was just alright. The food was good and the service was fine but my crew just did not care for it.
Another scratch from the list of resturants to revisit.
Hoop Dee Doo Revue- this was my DH's birthday request. He wanted to go to the Revue so I made the arrangements. The show was wonderful and the service was great. The food was not so great. The beans had a taste that we did not care for, even DS9 who loves his beans would not eat them. This kid is like Mikey, he will eat anything! The mashed potatoes were bland and the chicken and ribs were just ok. Dh and I talked about it after the show and can't see why someone would pay $200.00 for a family of 4 to eat there. The show is great but not for $200.00. Another scratch.
Lecellier- by this time I had fallen from grace with the crew. 3 nights in a row and the food was nothing to write home about.
That changed in Canada!
It started out really rough and I was kicking myself for making ADR's here.
Mo was our server and he was really bad!!! He could only handle one table at a time. Once that table had their food then he could move on to another. Really strange way to act! Once our food arrived all of that flew out of the cellar.
The steak was wonderful. I had the filet migon, DS had the NY strip, Dh had Prime Rib and DS9 had the kids steak. DS14 took one bite and said "Mom you rock, this is a great place". Yes, back with my angel wings!
A must do on the next trip!
50's primetime-this was the ADR I had to cancel for the sushi.
Even though the DDP had run out, I still wanted to eat here.
So DH stopped by while we were in the park and they could seat us in 30 min.
DS9 and I had the fried chicken, they let us replace the greens, DS14 had the pot roast and DH had the steak. The food was really good. The waitress was good but just earning her ears so she did not do anything you would expect her to do here. Still we will return next trip.
Next up our counter service!
