Hi from Wyoming, Michigan!

I had to go to work today (I work at a mall) and you wouldn't believe all of the people shopping! The police are telling people to stay off the roads, and you head out to shop? By noon most of the food court had close, and the whole mall closed at 5p.m. So now I am safe at home and prepared to have a nice quiet weekend.

Take care everyone and if you have to drive, be very careful!

Wow. Thanks for those pictures. My parents are in Grand Rapids off of 8th Avenue.

They actually went out today. I called them and asked them why they were so stupid and my Dad gave me the "this is nothing, I've seen worse" speech. I told them that authorities were telling people to stay off the roads and they didn't know that.

Thanks again for the pictures. My DD is insisting that I send her to Grandma and Grandpa's right away because she wants to play in the snow. Not gonna happen.

Hi there jbmom - I'm in Kzoo too!!! I can't believe how fast it's coming down. We were out around noon, and there were tons of people out on Westnedge - I couldn't believe it!

It's really coming down now. I'm hoping for a Monday snow day!!!

I'm in Port Huron - I guess we'll see it tomorrow.

Okay, I went out and took a few pics. I can't stand to be out too long.

My DH went out to snow blow just in case we had to go anywhere. Now we can get out of the driveway, but I don't know if we can get out of the subdivsion. I just heard on the news that they are not going to be plowing any of the secondary roads in Allegan County. We are really close to Allegan County so I doubt Kalamazoo plows will be out here tonight either. I also heard we are supposed to get up to 12 more inches by tomorrow evening. Looks like no school monday!!

We have had too warm of a snow free winter so far. Granted the colder temps are here now but sadly we probably have had an inch of snow total.

If you're watching WOOD-TV, we're in Standale, where they have been broadcasting live within the last hour.

I took these photos this morning about 10am and at that time, there was 18 inches of snow on our patio table:

Virgo, I absolutely LOVE the photos you post, but you must stop rubbing it in or you'll find me on your doorstep to stay for a week. LOL

I watched WoodTV this afternoon when they were showing the blizzard conditions around Grand Rapids. We have them, too but we're a bit farther in from Lake Michigan which helps a bit but it is very nasty cold out!!!

I just drove through Stockbridge on my way home from Detroit about a week ago. Have you been to Williamston lately? Unfortunately, lots of empty storefronts on Grand River.

Stay warm fellow Michiganders!!! We have had our precious goddaughter, Alyssa, with us this weekend. We are taking her home to the Detroit area this afternoon. She is a beautiful blonde, 10 year old with Down Syndrome. She is my 7th "grandchild".

While the wind chill is below 0, the snow is blowing, and the furnace is kicking on frequently, I am thinking about my next cruise on the Disney Magic this October. Picturing myself at Castaway Cay soaking up the sun's rays is keeping me smiling and warm!!!

Me too! We have only had one snow and it was less than 2 inches. I miss my New England winter.

I've been through a couple of blizzards here in Mass., and I loved it. I had a good movie in the vcr, and some hot tea and I was snug as a bug in a rug. Oh, one thing I love doing, is turing off everything except for some music, sit by a window and just watch it snow. I love that.

Wow! I didn't know there were so many people from Kalamazoo here, I live in Portage. We haven't been out of the house since Friday, and with three kids, we are starting to get a little cabin fever.....hope there is school tomorrow!

You know the weather is bad when most of the churches have closed for the day.

I'm supposed to go to my sister's house for a superbowl party today. But I live on a dead end street, and they haven't plowed us yet. And it is still snowing. There is no way I am driving 10 miles to her house in this mess. Her husband has volunteered to come get me and drive me home, but I'm thinking that might not be a very smart thing to do. Oh well, guess I will have to stay here and watch the game on my small tv.

These snow pictures remind me why I won't move to MI to be closer to my inlaws. I remeber the first time I saw a snow blower, i kept asking Matt why that guy was using a push mower on the snow Well, I also won't move because that's where my inlaws are. Ya'll be safe and stay warm.
