Deerfield Beach is very nice.
It's growing but it's not a big city (and never will be).
The beach is great.
You'll be close to Fort Lauderdale and there is so much to do there!
Disney World is 3 hours away!

The weather can take some getting used to, but when it's beautiful...it's GORGEOUS!


We've been here a long time and find it hard to even imagine living in a cold climate. My husband sometimes says we have to go further south!
We LOVE the hot summers, it definately helps to have a pool.

Do you know where in Deerfield you will be house hunting? Of course, homes are much more expensive the further east you go, but it is nice to be nearer the ocean.

We could just fill a bus with everyone from Michigan who wants to move to Florida and start our own town. \

We had the chance to move to Panama City Beach a few months ago but then my MIL had a stroke and we thought it was best we stayed up here.

WELCOME TO FLORIDA!!! Now you can get ALL the perks we get for being a "neighbor to the Mouse." Just think....you can actually DRIVE to WDW or take the Amtrak, it stops at the Deerfield Tri-rail station, and you can go to WDW by train.

We bought a house in Winter Garden just over a month ago.
We relocated from Omaha, NE January 1.
And 8.5 years before that we relocated from northern IN.
This I hope is the final place!

It is really hard to say..Deerfield has GREAT neighborhood east of US1 ( Federal Highway ) and ok neighborhoods and not so nice neighborhoods, to downright scary neighborhoods..I lived in the middle..just west of US1. Butyou couls also do Pompano, which is about 15 minutes away..it all depends.

My realtor friend is Bob Kirby. He knows Deerfield pretty well. His email is bobkirby@aol.com. Maybe he can point you in the right direction. Zip codes 33441 and 33442 WEST of I 95 would be ok.

Tell him you are a friend of mine and he will help you...I get NO KICKBACK from this...he was very kind when my dad passed away and I like to repay loyalty!

Wow, small world. I also just relocated to the area, I live in Delray Beach now, just south of Linton and east of 95. The beach is so close, but I have yet to go!

It's a nice area. We almost moved to Deerfield.

Oh, and someone said there is very little hope for a white christmas here. Try no hope! You want snow, you go to the beach and pretend!
