have been annually for past 5 years. Our kids are dd13 and ds16. Our DS is not thrilled about Disney. He's kind of over it. ugh. We are DVC members so we kind of have to go, and the rest of us are happy there.

I told him he could sleep in and meet us when he wakes up and am trying to think of ways to make it more interesting for him.

Also, I am clueless as to how to make the FP+ work for us in this situation, would appreciate any input on that also.

I have a basic Itinerary done that has roughly which park we will be in in the day and night, but I'm not sure how to pick times for rides.

TIA

If you're going in late April, there is a HUGE Cheer & Dance competition happening-that may help DS16 enjoy his time at WDW!lol:)

Maybe do your ride times starting at a certain time. Like maybe after lunch that way he can sleep in and hang out a bit then meet up with u for lunch and then have your ride times start after that.

We did different stuff when our son was 15. Less park time, we hired boats, went to the cinema, we did mini golf. He enjoyed eating out with us and we let him choose when he wanted to go back to the resort. In the end he enjoyed it.

I'm thinking as long as there is food and snacks unlimited, he will be ok!

that is the exact solution I came up with! great minds ;)

WE are there the 19th -25. do the dates coincide?

Some of the athletes will start rolling into WDW on the 22nd.:)

The dance competition is at World ShowPlace in Epcot and the Cheer competition is at ESPN Wide World of Sports.

And,of course, they will be in the Parks having fun like everybody else.

DS16 may find WDW to be MAGICAL after all!lol:)

The majority of my days coincide with this cheerleader thing :headache:

Oh well, I am not staying at the resorts at which they will be staying and I am sure they will not overwhelm the parks like some of the international tour groups do. Hopefully. But they do seem to be at Epcot primarily.

Oh and I see I should stay away from HS on the 27th!
