hi all, landed at cardiff at 7.30am today, been to bed for a few hours and now on boards to ease myself back into a disney free life again!
had a great time, highlights were CRT and illuminations cruise, sci fi diner meal at MGM was great too, star wars weekend was great for the parents but kids were not so impressed. Wishes was stunning, great view from tommorrowland bridge. pineapple float in MK was lush! :earboy2:
the absolute top highlight was the family magic tour with peter pan, highly recommend it to any pan fans pirate:
mickeys philarmagic was great, soarin was amazing, althought the standby queue on monday was 120 mins! luckily we had fast passes. Test Track broke down when we were the next to go on, DD was gutted as its here fave so had to change plan to go back to epcot again next day. DH and DD's loved mission space, too claustraphobic for me to try it! :earseek:
spiderman and shrek 4D were my non disney faves, as usual!
stitch's great adventure was totally rubbish and i hated dudley do right ripshaw falls at US, did not feel safe with a drop like that and no safety bar, and I like scary coasters.FDP at mama melrose was not so good but fantasmic made us forget about that! sat in front row, got soaked as wind was blowing water towards us!
weather rained on last day so didn't get to go to TL, florida mall instead, which was fab! LBV and premium outlets were brill for shopaholics like me.
will try to do trip report but in meantime any questions, fire away........ :earseek:

Welcome home!

Sounds like you had a fab time, Looking forward to the trip report!

Welcome back Claire!

I have just booked the Family Magic Tour so am really pleased to see your comments.

Sounds like an excellent trip!

hi miffy, the family magic tour was totally amazing, kids loved following the clues, especially my 9yr old,I think she was the perfect age, and the character interaction was amazing, must,ve spent about 40 mins with peter and wendy, firstly in a roped off area, then walking to philarmagic, then in the first row to watch the show with them, it was a birthday treat for my 7yr old DD and her face was amazing, two other families did not turn up so it was only myself 2 DD's. DH, my brother and his wife and their two children. we had cast members guarding us from the people in the park and they kept telling them peter and wendy were on a private tour it was amazing! :earseek:

Welcome Home Claire

Glad you had a good time. We loved the FMT...its so special walking through MK with Peter Pan and Wendy all those people looking..makes you feel so special:)

Hi Claire, welcome back. I just got back yesterday so can appreciate how you are feeling right now.
I must agree with you on Spiderman and Shrek 4D, they were brilliant. I also agree with you that Stitch's great adventure was not so great! I'm glad we fast passed it, as it was not worth a long wait.

Welcome home Claire, glad you had a great time, we landed on Sunday and are just getting back to normal. Wasn't the weather brilliant ? I can't wait to hear all about it.

:wave2: welcome back clare, the family magic tour sounds like great fun :) .
glad you had a good trip

Hiya.

Welcome back. I hadn't heard about the family magic tour until very recently. Sounds amazing. Maybe I'll arrange that for the next trip.

What did you do at CRT - lunch or brekkie? We've booked the lunch. princess: What about Sci Fi Diner - we've also arranged lunch there. :cool1:

I saw you din't like the Mama Melroses FDP? :confused3 Can I ask why? We've also booked that. How much in common we have. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Welcome back. I am looking forward to your trip reports.

hi mum of 2, we had breakfast at CRT, it was our first day and my DD's 7th birthday, I had heard bad reports about the food and did not like the idea of it being plated and not a buffet but it was great, I don't eat meat but there was still enough for me to eat. our server was great and we had a cup cake with candle and he sang happy birthday.
we had food at sci fi diner around 3pm, I loved it, my DH and brother thought it was too dark to eat their food there but I thought it was brill and so did all the kids, fantastic idea and great food, all the kids were speachless as they stared at the screen throughout, the glow in the dark cups and ice blocks were a cool touch too.
mama melrose was an odd one, the flat breads they give you to start were delicious, the main courses were nice and the kids meals were good but desserts were tiny, our server was really slow, still had flat breads plates on table when we paid bill, don,t know what it was really but it all seemed very expensive for what it was, the package is still worth it for the tickets to fantasmic, we had done hollywod and vine twice on a previous trip and would prob do it again next time. don,t let it put you off, most reviews of MM are split, we didn,t hate it but it wasn't the best meal we had but one of the most expensive.
I would recommend the family magic tour, cost about £60 for 2ads and 2 kids worth, every panny, especially if you are pan fans. pirate:
have a great trip.

its from the dole shop, stall thing in adventureland in MK, lots of people on boards rave about dole whips, which is a pineapple flovoured ice cream, we had the pineaaple float, tall glass with half pineapple juice, then pieapple flavoured ice cream floating on the top, you could eat ice cream with a spoon or drink pineapple juice throught he straw, delicious, think it was about $2.50. yum :earboy2:

You've never lived until you've had a coke float with vanilla ice cream!!

Excuse my ignorance but what is the Family Magic Tour, and what does it cost?
Who do you book it through?
Thanks.

you book through disney, there is a seperate number for booking tours but I cant find it now, you pay when you book it was about £60 for 2 adults and 2 kids. its a scavenger hunt type thing, 10am in magic kingdom, it lasts 2 hrs. I dont want to spoil it but, its a scavenger hunt through the park to find hooks hook, you have to solve about 8 clues, at the end you meet pan and wendy and they take you on a ride to thank you for your help, for us it was philarmagic,it was amazing my 7yr old has always loved pan, she didn't know anything about and we did it on her birthday. don't want to say too much more as don,t to spoil it for anyone else. I remember that I had lots of info about it from a page on www.allearsnet.com the clues and answers were on there too but I didn't read them as I wanted to be surprised on the day! :earsgirl:
