Well Leger13 and her husband really have gotten us hooked on Disney. So we planned a trip with them next Sep. Well my wife and I were going to Destin in Oct, well we were to excited to wait one whole year for disney with friends so we decided to cancel Destin and go to Disney. So here we go.

The Cast:

Me :earboy2:
DW: princess:
DS: :tigger:

I will post a pic when it lets me

The Trip Date:

Oct 6th-13th

A little bit about my Me and my Family:

I am 24 years old, and I am a Deputy Sheriff for Cobb County. My wife is 25 years old and is an RN in the ICU. We have dated since we were 16 and we finally got married about 2 years ago. My wife is everything to me and I love her so much. Anyway we have a 4 month old son named Landon. He is our world, he is so awesome and we thank God everyday for him.

Well this is basically our first trip to DW, I went with my parents when I was 6 but do not remember anything. My wife has never been. We are sooooooooooooooooooo excited.

The Planning (or lack there of):

Well what I have to find out is DW is not a spur of the moment trip, it take s a lot of time to plan. So I am going to try my best, and with help from leger13 hopefully all will go well. I have planned out the restraunts and what park we will be in on what day, I have also ordered all the maps and stuff. I bought a book about disney and have been reading it day and night.

My next post will be the Resort info and the restraunts.

Thanks for reading guys.

hey  I'm the first to subscribe!! :woohoo: :woohoo: once you get 20 posts (i think?) or maybe it's 10 it will let you post pictures. I found the best website for this (IMHO - In My Humble Opinion) is www.imageshack.us

Anyways, I have a suggestion for lunch @ MGM. It's a counter service place called Backlot Express. It's almost never crowded because it's kind of hidden. It's over by Star Tours. Here's the link to the menu http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=141
Lex and I eat there every time we're @ MGM. It's good and secluded. It will be a good place to feed the little guy and take a break. We always try to get there right when it opens.

Anyways, your ADRs look good. your DS will LOVE the Garden Grill! Great character experiance there. Also, a little tip for the board...when you're talking about Disney World instead of shortening it to "DW" use "WDW" since Dear Wife is already "DW". See what I'm sayin'? It can get a little confusing when you use "DW" for both. Just a little tip to make it easier for your readers to desifer what you're talkin' about. :thumbsup2

Anyways, @ MK try for your TS meals try out Cinderella's Castle and Liberty Tree Tavern. Liberty Tree is our favorite and I've heard they have a good Character lunch/dinner there too if you request it. I've also heard that the Crystal Palace is good too but it's buffet and I've never eaten there so I can't give you a personal recomendation. You could always take the Monorail over to one of the resorts from MK for dinner. That's what I'm doing for my birthday. We'll be at MK for the day and then have an ADR @ Concorse Steakhouse. Maybe switch your AK day for an MK day so you can do that instead of trecking over from AK to Concorse. It will be easier. Just a thought. :thumbsup2

Anyways, I'm glad you're doing a Pre-trippie!! :woohoo: You'll meet lots of really cool people this way and get LOTS of good information. You'll find that you're on here pretty much every day leading up to your vacation. Also sub to other's pre-trips and see what they're doing for their trips...you'll get lots of good ideas this way too. Like the idea I got off another thread to bring our own glow necklaces so we don't have to pay an arm and a leg for them @ the parks! :thumbsup2 They're fun to wear at night.

okay, now that I've written an novel...I'm excited you're here! :yay: I'm gonna go pimp you on my thread now. :goodvibes

Hey FP!!!!

So excited to be part of your planning for your first trip with your famiily!!

So exciting:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Gardne Grill is great!!! They use all of the vegetables they grow themselve that you can see in the Boat ride in Epcot....Living with the Land and it is so good.

I love Tony' Town Restaurant...That has been one of our fav meals on our past two trips.. Good comfort food and very nice atmosphere.

Here is my recommendation for a dinner...How about The Plaza at MK...It is simple food, small and quiet...perfect for an infant..:goodvibes

Can't wait to hear more about your Trip:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Hi FP :wave2:

Leger sent me this way and I'm happy to be here :thumbsup2

Get ready for your Disney addiction to start!!! :cool1:

Your plans look great. One of my favorite restaurants at the MK is the Liberty Tree Tavern. It's a character meal and it's basically like Thanksgiving dinner served family style. It's great!!!!

For your open lunch at Epcot you could hit up the World Showcase and sample foods from the Food and Wine Festival or you could pickup CS in Mexico (very yummy) or the UK (great fish and chips! and very reasonable).

I'm sure I have more suggestions but I'm getting sleepy so I will think about it tomorrow.

I'll be going to WDW on October 20th so we'll miss each other by a week.

Looking forward to hearing about your plans and the trip!

I love new pre-trip reports! We are heading for our first trip in 23 days!! At MK we are eating at Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern and Cinderella's Castle. I think you would get some pretty adorable pictures of your little one at Crystal Palace with all the Winnie the Pooh characters!

I look forward to reading more, maybe I will get enough gumption to start my own!! Have a great trip!:hippie:

I'm in.....

May I suggest trying out different places in Epcot for lunches...you can always get some food and find a nice place to relax and eat and soak in the atmosphere. Tangerine Cafe is my fav!!

Crystal Palace is a WONDERFUL character meal. We have only done breakfast bit it was really nice. We are trying out dinner this time around tho! It's also real easy to go to one of the monorail resorts too...Ohana is another fav of ours too!

Good luck with planning I'm sure you will get tons of help!!!!

Hey there FPTiggers,

Yay you started. I am so excited for you and your DW will love it. Your DS is so cute.

Okay anyways. I was just thinking as you are a newbie, like me, I will seriously be hoarding all your ideas! I love your ADR's. I make mine on Oct 10th. I have no clue yet what I want. I was forewarned though that sometimes the heat makes one less hungry so I am playing it safe and only ADRing a few buffets. I am glad Leger13 said where Backlot Express is. I think this is the only CS I get any kind of consistent feedback for.

Okay I have to go back to the real life. :sad1:
