Hello,
we are back home or should I say: Hannah is back home.
As you all might now, this time was a horrible trip. We stayed for 7 days which was our longest stay since years and we planned a one day trip to Paris also but everything went completly wrong the day we arrived.
Hannah was ill over the days before we go but we went to the doctor and he said, that she could go. So we deceided to take her with us and drove with the Thalys to Paris where Ezyshuttle takes us to the SQL.
And then the nightmare began: In the evening Hannah became very high temperature with 39-40 degress. My wife is a nurse so she knows what to do. I went to the concierge desk and ask for help and the cast member told me to call 112 for a medical help. Oh lord....with my horrible English !!
I told them what happened to Hannah and they´ve send us a doctor. He was at our room within 45 minutes. It was Dr. Picard and he was such a fantastic man and doctor !!! He reminds me a little bit of Patch Adams. As I wrote before Hannah was very scared but he was great, helpful and sometimes funny to her.
He wrote down some medicine (antibiosis) for Hannah and told us that I should go to the concierge with this receipt where they send someone to get it for me.
Hannah was very weak and the nights were very short for all of us. We did not sleep at all.
You have to take antibiosis for 3 days to know if they are working or not, so we stayed most of the time in our room.....and after 3 days the antibiosis worked.....not. First Hannah was getting a little bit better but after each 4 hours the temperature rises again and again.
So I called Dr. Picard again. Once again he was very friendly and gave us another antibiosis because the first one did not worked.
Again the concierge desk get our medicine in a fastlighning speed. And so we had to wait for 3 days the second time.
It was a horrible. Hannah stayed at our hotel room for nearly 7 days. She was outside the room only for 1 or 2 hours. She was inside the park for a complete 4 hours visit in 7 days and she did not see any characters.
We all became more and more depressed each day but we tried to make the best of our situation.
And now here comes the one and only high:
The cast members of the SQL !
I can not say enough how great everyone was. Everyone helped us in our situation. They were very friendly and tried to cheer us up.
Each time we went a little bit trough the hotel they said "Hi" to Hannah and asked her how she felt. They gave us a Minnie with our medicine as a present and one morning Hannah gets two Frozen pins as we passed the concierge desk.
At the day of our ckeck out someone was knocking at our door. As I opened there were two cast members with a "Cooper" toy for Hannah. They wish us all a good journey back home.
I have to say that I cried at this moment because I was tired, angry, depressed, greatful and happy all in one second.
I have read in other thread that some cast members where not very friendly and sometimes rude. I can not praise the cast members of the SQL enough ! I wrote a long handwritten "Thank you" letter for them and left it in the ckeck-out box, so I hope they will get it. I will send a special mail to the guest communication email also.
And of course: Thank you !! Thank you all for your good wishes ! You do not know how much it helps to know that someone is out there somewhere....
We finaly made it back home. It was hard but we are here. We went to our doctor today and he said that Hannah had scarlet fever together with a flu.
And the hard part: The second antibiosis from Dr.Picard was the right one and she is better now and I guess she will be ok soon.
She is crying all the time and I am thinking of bringing her back to DLP this year. But we put all our money aside for this trip as we did each year and I have to finanance it again right from the start.
But when I look in her eyes I know what to do.
Sorry for my horrible English...thanks Cast Members of the SQL and thanks to you all !!
