Arrived at WL yesterday. Check in was great. We got a great room. Watching the fireworks right now from the room. We can see the castle, space mountain and CR from our balcony. Can see TOT off in the distance. Room is real nice and clean. No problem with the bedspread :rotfl2: The new lounge should be ready tomorrow or the next day. Weather is actually not that bad. It was overcast all day today which kept the temp down. Went to MGM today. It is the last Star Wars weekend. Crowds were not bad at all. Did almost everything we really wanted to by 1:00. All the CM's have been great and friendly. :flower:

I wish I was there!! I bet you can't wait to see the new lounge. We are staying at WL concierge for the first time in October and we are very excited! Can you, please, tell me what your room # is?

Thank you!

Have a great vacation!!!! It sounds perfect so far.

A couple of questions:
1) What room are you in? And what building or rooms would be able to see fire works?
2)How long is boat ride? And buses?
3) How is the food there?
4) Any tips?
Thanks

We are in room 7056. It has a direct view of the castle. We should be able to use the lounge before we leave. The boat ride to MK is great. The busses have been running wonderful. 5-10 minute wait max. I would definitely try to get this room again. I can not say enough about the view. The food offerings have been great so far. Tonight was clam chowder and pulled pork. Very tasty. The CM's have all gone out of there way to be extra helpful. The pool has not been overly crowded. No problem getting a chair at the pool. The lobby is just as amazing as I remember it. :flower:

Any chance of you getting some photo's would love to have them posted over on the WLFAQ Thread.

Thanks

Small World!!! That is the room I stayed in during my Jan/Feb Trip. I absolutely love the view!!!! Are the birds still bad? My BF was eating some nuts on the balcony and a black bird flew up and took a nut from his fingers!

Have a great time and keep my room clean!! :rotfl2:

I hope the rest of your trip continues to be wonderful!!! :flower:

Just wondering which way the room faces if you can see the TOT aswell?

Five months and counting and jealous. ENJOY YOURSELVES AND MAKE EVERY MINUTE COUNT.

I am so happy for you! We will be there this time next week! I can't wait to hear about the new lounge! :flower: I have asked for a view like your room has! I'm so glad you can see everything so well! :earsgirl:

Concierge room view question!

I've requested an "inner courtyard view". With bunk beds. Actually, bunk beds are my main request, the view is secondary.

Ok, so my question is: Do you all think more people request/prefer a Magic Kingdom view, or an inner courtyard view??

We'll be staying at the Polynesian, in a lagoon view concierge room, following our stay at the WL, so I figure we'll get plenty of the MK view once we get there. I thought it'd be fun to be able to view the activity of the WL's inner courtyard, while we're at the WL. (The lake, pool, maybe the geiser??)

Anyone else prefer the inner courtyard view, rather than MK view?

Just wondering :)

Maybe I should post this as a poll, in a new thread... But I'd definitely like the opinions of people staying on the concierge floor, too.... :scratchin

I am so happy that the magic is there for you. Enjoy your time

So sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Internet service was down for a while here at WL. Actually it just was available at midnight last night. The first few days was just a trial run.

Our room is on the MK side. We can see TOT off in the distance to the left of the castle.

The weather has been great. Not too hot at all. Mousekeeping has been good. I learned a very good tip from these boards. We like to come back in the afternoon for down time. When we got here I called housekeeping and asked to have our room cleaned by 1:00 every day. They are very accomadating here. The lounge is still not ready. They said probably today or tomorrow.

Went to MK yesterday. Crowds were not that bad. We got there at opening. By 10:45 we had already done all of Tomorrowland.

Had dinner at Chef Mickeys last night and Cape May Cafe this morning. Both were really good. Sci-Fi was fun. Had one of the best burgers ever there. One thing I will warn about. If you don't have an ADR/PS it will be hard to get a seat. They were turning a lot of people away.
So make sure you have your PS/ADR's.

SeaSpray,

We like our MK view, but I would also like to try the Courtyard view. When we were at the pool we noticed a lot of people on their balconies just sitting and relaxing. That view seems like it would be great as well. The geyser is fun to watch. I'm sure any view here on the 7th floor would be nice. You're going to have a great time. The CM's have been outstanding.

The transportation has still been great. We tried the new bus to MK. Took us only five minutes to get there. Boats have been running great too. We have been lucky. Our bus/boat wait time has been no more than 5-10 minutes.

I'll try to get som pictures posted. We will be here until 7/3/05. I'll be glad to try to answer any questions. I'll be back tonight. :flower:
