we are already thinking about christmas...

i know i know, but hubby and i was talking about this today. Since we are already going to las vegas in december, we decided for christmas present to his parents is to pay for their flight, and hotel for the week also.

but my question is what should we do about his older sister (we are not paying for her whole family of 4 to go) and his middle brother ? Any advice ?

Sorry, no advice from me on this issue, but when you mentioned "Christmas" I had to come and confess something. We *STILL* have our tree up!!!! I was "hoping" some other was getting ready to put theirs up!

oh yeah, Ive been thinking about Christmas a lot lately!

We, too, will be doing Vegas as usual in early December for a conference. Then MIL decided she wanted to go to Hawaii. I told her I wouldnt go on Christmas day but that we could leave right after so I guess that is what we're doing.


Dont get me wrong Im grateful to be going, thats just a lot of travel right around Christmas. Oh well.



As for SIL you can invite them. Say something like " we will going to Vegas Dec, XX through XX. Mom and dad will be joining us. It would be great if you could join us too. We found a great price through XYZ travel agency.... you might be able to get in on it too if youre interested. Here's their number"



Youre inviting, being polite, but making it clear that you wont foot the bill.

We have our tree up too. We now consider it an easter tree!

I would tell your sil that you plan on taking your mil and fil to vegas for christmas and you are letting her know just in case she wanted to save some money and join you.

oh wow this is so so so great, thank you so so much. i love the way you worded that. we are going to las vegas the week of the 10th. my mil is huge into christmas and my sil has a 2 year and a newborn so she wouldnt be gone on christmas

Yes, I'd agree with this. As long as you're not leaving anyone "alone", it's fine. They might even welcome a chance to have a quiet Christmas. Just tell them as early as you can so they have time to make plans of their own. (Maybe they'll visit a certain "mouse". )

What ? I'm sorry, i missed this. Who am I leaving alone ? We wont be there on christmas day. we are going the week of december 10th. lol what mouse is in vegas ? that would be awsome, if they brought a disney to vegas woohoo

I still have one snowman out and told myself today I should put it away. I would but I don't want to test fate, if it goes into to storage now I'm afraid there will be one more snow storm before spring comes- lol.
