We All Want a Jar of Hunny!~A Nov. 2010 TR! *NEW October PTR 4/4, pg 42!!!*

I can't believe how empty Main Street was! That must have been awesome.

Too bad Eeyore was being so gloomy. I'm thinking of booking CP for October. My boys are big Tigger fans. Carter just learned to say Eeyore yesterday. :goodvibes

I always loved seeing Main Street empty... It was nice :)

It's possible that Eeyore just didn't see you guys :( I'd rather think that was the case than he intentionally snubbed you

I love the picture of you and Brandon with the christmas decorations. What a perfect holiday picture!

Boo on CP. You should have told your server who you wanted to see. Eeyore missed us as well and our server brought him over to us. So sad that you got none of the characters.

Thanks! It's definitely my favorite of all of the PP pics we got! Someday I'll get around to making prints and framing it! :thumbsup2

I know, I should have said something to our server about missing Eeyore, but I felt kind of stupid, I don't like to complain in Disney World! If it happens again, I'll definitely say something! :)

Love seeing Main Street so empty, you get great pictures of the castle that way! :thumbsup2

You should definitely do CP if your boys like Tigger and the Pooh characters! The character interaction is usually great, I think maybe we just timed everything wrong! :rotfl:

I love empty Main Street, that's part of the reason I love CP! That and the Pooh characters!

I suppose it's possible that Eeyore didn't see us, but I could swear he glanced in our direction and then just kept walking, we were right in front of him when he came over to our side. :confused3

I'm so sorry that CP was a disappointment character wise. :sad2:

We missed Tigger one year but I wasn't too upset because we got the others and I knew I'd see Tigger in the United Kingdom. But for you to miss all of them is no fun...especially your favorite, Eeyore.

CP is our must do every trip...especially for the puffed french toast. Did you ever find it?

It was kind of disappointing not to see any characters, but the one that really got to me was Eeyore, because it seemed intentional! :confused3 I guess next time I will have to say something if it happens again! I'd hate to have to start skipping CP, because I really do love it, maybe we were just there on a bad day or something!

Oh, and I did find the puffed french toast, SOOOO good! :thumbsup2

Their vision is really limited in the suits, so it's possibly you two were in a blind spot. But yeah, the handler should have brought him back over to you guys

Oh no! I can't believe Eeyore snubbed you! Although I can believe you missed out on a couple characters - the same thing happened to us in November! :sad1: I think CP could use some more organizing. It's such a popular breakfast, and people should be guaranteed a visit from all the characters.

Bummer about your experience at CP! When we were there (no kids here either), we were up at the buffet when Tigger went by, so we had to wait around after our meal for him to return. Otherwise, we had no trouble and all the characters stopped to take pics with us. You must have just hit them on a bad day, I guess?

That stinks about the characters not stopping to meet you. :( I don't get why you HAVE to have kids to see characters. :confused3 It's like in April when my dad and I were in the China pavilion and saw Mulan. I know I mentioned this in my TR but all I got was a quick hello when the kids before me got a great interaction.

Great pictures of Main Street. I just love the Christmas decorations! :goodvibes

I'm all caught up! I'm glad you had a nice dinner at Teppan Edo! We were originally going to eat there on our trip, but when my cousin and his girlfriend had to back out we changed our reservations! We eat Japanese ALL the time at home, so I wanted to change it up!

I'm sorry you couldn't find that perfect spot for Illuminations, but I'm glad you were still able to enjoy the show! It's so beautiful!

UGH! I can't believe you were snubbed at Crystal Palace! Our experience at Crystal Palace this trip was great, but we had some other character experiences that weren't so great. I guess it just depends on when you go. Some characters are way more interactive with adults than others!

I'm sure it's possible that Eeyore didn't see us, but we were one of the first tables of the section he walked into, it just seemed like they kind of glanced our way and rushed right by! Maybe next time I will try to mention to my server how excited I am to meet Eeyore, see if they get the hint!

I agree, CP could definitely be a little more organized! I honestly don't mind missing the characters if we are up at the buffet, because that's our choice not to sit and wait, but if you're at your table and a character walks by, they should at least stop by! And we definitely don't take a lot of time with the characters, just get a quick picture and thank them and that's it, so they have more time to interact with kids!

I was thinking I'd skip CP on my next trip, but the more I think about actually doing it, the more I wonder if I can really skip it, I love it so much!

I'm guessing we just had bad timing that day with the characters. :confused3 We had a great time when we were there in May. I'm sure I will try again, maybe we will go for dinner or something, although I do like being there before MK opens...we'll see how I feel on April 3 when I get to make my ADR's! :rotfl2:

Great pictures of Main Street. I just love the Christmas decorations! :goodvibes

I know you don't have to have kids to see the characters, we had a great time at Chef Mickey's with all of the characters, and at CP in May they all stopped by (well except Eeyore, but we were leaving when he was near our section) so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. Maybe characters just think that if you don't have kids, you don't want a whole elaborate interaction like they do with kids, but if you are at a character breakfast or in line to meet one, you obviously have some interest in seeing them!

Thanks! I am starting to get really depressed about missing the Christmas decorations this year...I really want to find a way to take a quick weekend trip in December to see them, but I have a feeling to do that, I might have to rearrange some things in my October trip, so I'm not sure if I'm willing to do that...although 2 trips in 2 months is tempting! We'll see what Brandon says when I have enough courage to bring it up!

I'm all caught up! I'm glad you had a nice dinner at Teppan Edo! We were originally going to eat there on our trip, but when my cousin and his girlfriend had to back out we changed our reservations! We eat Japanese ALL the time at home, so I wanted to change it up!

Yay! Teppan Edo was fun, but I probably won't do it again for a while, I've heard it's just like any other hibachi place! I'm glad we tried it though, I'd like to eventually try every restaurant in Epcot! It's hard though, since Brandon always wants to eat at Le Cellier twice on each trip! :rotfl:

I love Illuminations, so once it started, it didn't really matter our spot was less than perfect! The music is so amazing, I can't wait til October to see it again!

CP is usually great, I think maybe we were just there on a bad day, or at a weird time or something! I'll probably try it again, if I don't schedule too many other breakfast ADR's for October! The idea of skipping it is a little depressing, since we did like it so much in May! And the food there is really good! :thumbsup2

Clean Cup, Clean Cup. Move Down!

Day 6, 11/17, Part 2

Hi everyone, welcome back! I gotta get going on this TR so I can start my PTR for my next trip! I won't start it until probably the end of March but I want to have this wrapped up before then, so I should probably start doing more frequent updates! Besides, who is going to want to read about November and Christmas in the spring! :cool1:

Brandon and I just got our FP's for Peter Pan and were wondering what to do first. If you remember, the Winnie the Pooh ride was closed for rehab and was due to open during my trip, on the 14th I think, but still hadn't opened. So I wanted to check that out first, to see if it was open, since it's one of my favorites!

No such luck, Winnie the Pooh was still closed, however, a CM did say it should be open later in the day! So we definitely kept that in mind!

We kept walking, and saw the teacups...

IMG_2056.jpg

Brandon and I have always been a little scared of the teacups, but for some reason that day I said "can we go on those, just this once? I promise not to spin the teacup!" To my surprise, Brandon agreed, as long as I really didn't spin the teacup!

The ride was about to start when we got in line, and the CM let us through, and let us get into the last empty teacup! It's so cute in there, I've always wanted to try this ride since Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite Disney movies, but I thought I'd get sick riding it...

IMG_2053.jpg

We started moving and it really wasn't so bad...Brandon even felt brave enough to spin the teacup a couple of times, and then I took a turn...I think we even spun it as fast as we could for a second, just to see what it was like! It was definitely fun, not something I need to do every trip, but it's nice to know I can handle it!

Once we were finished with the teacups, I had to use the bathroom, so we walked over to a bathroom I've never seen before, right on the edge of Fantasyland, kind of next to where Rapunzel does her meet and greet, and there were huge doors next to it to get to a backstage area. I went in and Brandon waited for me outside.

When I came out, he was waiting for me and telling me to hurry up and come look at something. We went out to the bridge and Brandon said "do you see who is walking away?"

IMG_2057.jpg

Mickey and Minnie! Can you see them, off in the distance? :)

He said as soon as I went in the bathroom, they came out of the doors next to the bathroom and walked right up to Brandon and shook his hand and then walked off! Isn't that so cool? I'm sad I missed it, but still, only in Disney World! :rotfl:

After Brandon's meeting with Mickey, we thought, why not go see their houses? So we went off to Toontown!

First up was Minnie's house

IMG_2058.jpg

No one was in there, so we stopped to take some pictures of Minnie's stuff

IMG_2060.jpg

IMG_2063.jpg

A cute little Christmas tree!

IMG_2064.jpg

I loved these SO much, I wish they had these for sale, because I would love to take them home with me...

IMG_2068.jpg

Daisies! :rotfl2:

Next up was Mickey's house, where Brandon proceeded to lean too far over one of the gates and set an alarm off...

IMG_2072.jpg

:rotfl: Only us! I kind of hurried us through this house after that, I was afraid we would get in trouble!

IMG_2077.jpg

We finished up in Mickey's house and wandered around Toontown for a few minutes, before we decided to take our first ride on the train!

IMG_2080.jpg

We didn't really know where we wanted to go, so we figured we could get off in Fronteirland and make our way back to Fantasyland to use our Peter Pan FP's.

IMG_2081.jpg

I love that window, I just noticed it for the first time on this trip!

We got off in Fronteirland and somehow I forgot that the stop is at Splash Mountain

IMG_2084.jpg

so we figured since we were here, we might as well ride really quick!

BAD idea! Remember how wet I got on our first ride on Splash a few days before? I got absolutely drenched this time. The water seemed to be pouring into our log, it was really high, it didn't seem normal! Every single inch of me was soaked. As I was walking out of the ride, I heard someone say "oh look at how soaked that girl is". Thanks.

I tried not to let it bother me, but I was so wet it starting to get to me. Brandon asked if I wanted to go back to POR to change, but I said no, that would take up too much time and I'll just have to dry. The capris I was wearing were really thin material, so they would dry quickly, but my shirt was kind of thick. So I suggested we go to Main Street so I could buy a shirt.

I ended up getting a really cute Christmas tee shirt, which I actually wanted to wear to the Christmas party the next day, so it worked out!

Up next...Winnie the Pooh and lunch at a special place! :)

Great update!! I think I'll have to ride the train in March. Those little rides that I said I would ride when I was living there and had all the time in the world..well the time ended and I never did the little rides + my mom loves the train so we'll have to scope it out in March!

Where are you eating?!

I love the Mad Tea Party. I think it's fun whether you spin fast or not. I went on it with my brother once and he spun it so fast it we were just a big blur. When I ride with my mom, we barely spin any and can actually appreciate the beauty of the ride.

So cool Brandon met Mickey and Minnie like that. Too bad you missed it though. I think meeting the characters would be more magical if they were just walking around like that rather than having to wait in long lines.

I love rollercoasters and thrill rides, but those tea cups scare me!! I am always afraid if I go on them I will end up sick!!

Am loving your TR!!! Gives me a good disney fix (we may have to cancel our may trip . boohoo so i am depressed).

Your pictures are really nice!!

YAY for getting a xmas shirt!!

BTW, MY DD is obsessed with your little guy in the cold on your siggie. She keeps asking why is he there in the cold? She says she wants to go into the computer and rescue him!!

Thanks! The train is fun, I remember riding it when I was a kid, so it's fun to do things once in a while that bring back memories like that! :thumbsup2 You and your mom should definitely go on it in March! It's a good way to get around the park if your tired of walking!

LOL, I probably should have worded that different...we're had lunch somewhere that is special to us, but it's not anything extravagant or anything!

The Mad Tea Party is so cute and since I love Alice in Wonderland, it was fun for me to look around at all the teacups and everything! We didn't spin too much, just enough to try it out and see if we would feel sick! :rotfl2:

Isn't that strange how Mickey and Minnie just walked right by Brandon, and they stopped to say hi to him? So sad I missed it! I remember when the characters did just walk around and you didn't have to wait in lines for them, that was when my sister and I were kids though. :)

I love rollercoasters and thrill rides, but those tea cups scare me!! I am always afraid if I go on them I will end up sick!!

The teacups always scared me too, and I LOVE thrill rides! I can do ToT over and over, but the teacups were always intimidating to me, until I just tried them! It's nice that you can control how much or little you want to spin! :cool1:

Yay, thanks, sometimes I wonder if my TR is boring, I'm glad you're enjoying it! :cool1: I hope you don't have to cancel your trip! :goodvibes

LOL, that's so cute that your DD likes the little cold guy! :cutie: Don't worry, he will warm up when all the snow melts!

The teacups were always my favorite as a child! I haven't been on them in a while though - I'm kind of worried they would make me sick

Oh no! I'm sorry you got so wet on Splash! I refuse to do a water ride until right before I leave a park for that reason. I have eczema and water really irritates it, so I wouldn't be able to walk around in wet clothes. :sad2:

So you braved the tea cups and came out unscathed.:thumbsup2 How sweet that Mickey came up to Brandon. Splash got you again, atleast you got a new shirt out of it.:goodvibes

I was so worried I'd get sick on the teacups! I don't know why, I don't get motion sickness, but they just looked so crazy! :rotfl:

Ugh, I had such bad luck with Splash on this trip! :rotfl2: I'm going to have to do what you do from now on, ride it on the way out! Either that, or bring a change of clothes and stash them in a locker!

LOL, the teacups were a lot of fun! I really love all of the colors too, it's so pretty in there!

Yep, got soaked again, but seriously, this time was SO much worse than the first time! I mean, I was drenched! Lesson leaned, ride Splash last!

~I have fun trip news I want to share with everyone, but I suppose I should wait til my next update! I'm so excited about it though...I really wish it was the end of March so I could start my PTR!!! :yay:~

So glad you braved the tea cups.

I love Minnies house. What a cute pink Christmas tree.

:rotfl2: to Brandon setting off the alarm. I didn't know you could do that!

Again - what's the deal with Splash Mountain. Its not supposed to be a "soak you to the bones" ride. :confused3 I will definitely be wearing my dollar store ponchos for all future rides. I am glad you got a new T-shirt out of the deal.

I, for one, love reading about any season at Disney any time of the year so keep writing!

LOL I didn't know you could set off an alarm either! He said he wanted to see the TV, to see what Mickey was watching.

I don't know what is up with Splash, but I'm staying away from now on! Either that, or I'll get a poncho like you, I'm not walking around soaked for the rest of the day!

Oh, I'm definitely going to keep going with this TR, I just want to finish it up in the next month or so, so I can start my PTR for my next trip!
