We All Want a Jar of Hunny!~A Nov. 2010 TR! *NEW October PTR 4/4, pg 42!!!*

I can't believe in all the trips to Disney we never tried the Astro Orbiter. I always skip it, but Caitlin saw a picture and wants to go on next time. I guess she'll be going with John.

Catching up!

The Wishes Dessert party would just never make sense for me because I don't have a sweet tooth. I'd get a few small chocolate things and be done. However, if they decided to have a Junk Food party that had salty options (ex. french fries, potato chips, salsa, nachos, dips), I'd be there in an instant! That stuff is my weakness! I don't know when to stop ...

Love your AKL shots! That's where Howard and I will be spending our honeymoon in the far off future.

Great baby Simba shot! I always get excited when they come out with new ones even though I've never done any of them. I wonder why they don't come out with a LOT more!

Oh no, I'm right with you when you said that Devine is creepy! When I scroll down and see a pic of her close-up and she's looking right at the camera, I have to continue scrolling. I know everyone says she's gorgeous and all that, and I can see that. However, I just don't want those eyes on me for so long!

Out of all the pics you took of the Osborne Lights, I actually like the one where you see the 3 bikes because it's just funny to me that they put lights on those as well!!!

Agh, I missed the Christmas parade on TV. Since we spend Christmas Eve at my grandma's house, we don't get back until really late because we don't open gifts until it's at least 11:30pm or so. I was so set on watching it this year, but I could NOT get up. Plus, my older brother was home for the holidays (he lives by himself), so he was sleeping on the floor in the living room where I would be watching it. Oh well ... when I'm married, I'll get Howard up so that we can watch it together!

Spinning rides are just too much for my brain to handle. I feel like it just sloshes around in my skull! You guys going on the ride made for a fun story to tell us though!

This update made me laugh! Miguel loves Astro Orbiter. I don't mind it, but I'm not exactly dying to go on it either, you know. We rode it together and I found it to be a little uncomfortable. On our recent trip Miguel tried to get back on AO, but I managed to steer him towards something else. ;) He loves the little statues in front of the castle, too!

great castle pics! love them... so you didn't like astrorbiter. :rotfl: that ride is so not worth it and it spins so fast you cant see the view.

hats off to you for doing 3 parks in one day! :worship:

Hope you guys had a great Christmas!

Great TR and beautiful photos :)

Thank you! :)

I can't believe it either, but I think we always were more focused on the more popular rides when we were little...and the Carousel of Progress, we saw that like 800 times!:rotfl:

I'd skip it if I were you, it's pretty terrible!

LOL a junk food party would be awesome! :rotfl2: I wish I didn't have a sweet tooth, because I don't know when to stop with desserts...or junk food, for that matter! :rolleyes1

AKL is going to be a perfect honeymoon resort, it's so quiet and pretty!

LOL I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks DeVine is creepy...I thought people were going to get upset when I said that! She IS creepy though...pretty from afar, but when she stares at you, it's really uncomfortable!

They put lights on everything for the Osborne Lights, I just noticed that this year! Last year I was too caught up in the whole idea of it, but this year, I really walked around and looked at the details and it's crazy! I understand why they have to start putting the lights up in August! :yay:

I can handle some spinning rides, but some are just terrible, like the Astro Orbiter! I never got to go on Dumbo this trip, I wonder if that would be too much for me to handle? :rotfl2:

LOL, I can't believe Miguel loves Astro Orbiter! I'm glad Brandon didn't like it so I won't have to go on it again! I think 2 people riding it together would be a little cramped! Although, maybe that would have prevented me from feeling like I was going to fly out of there at any second!

That's funny that he loves the statues too! What is it about those things? :rotfl: They are adorable, but you would figure we would like them better than the guys would, and it's the other way around! :)

great castle pics! love them... so you didn't like astrorbiter. :rotfl: that ride is so not worth it and it spins so fast you cant see the view.

Hope you guys had a great Christmas!

Thanks! I kept taking picture after picture of the castle and getting so mad because I thought they were so terrible, but some of them are pretty! They look so much different on the camera than they do when you upload them to the computer!

Noooo...no more Astro Orbiter for me! I liked the view at first before we started spinning really fast, but it's definitely not worth it!

3 parks in one day is too much! It's fun, but so tiring!

We had a great Christmas, hope you did as well! :goodvibes

Hurry Up!!!!

Day 4, 11/15

Can't believe I'm already on Day 4 of my trip! Although, I feel like I've been home much longer than a month...seems like so long ago that I was at Disney World. :( Anyway, this will probably be my last update of 2010 and you know what that means...in 2 days I can say "I'm going to Disney World this year!" :rotfl: Even though I don't know exactly when, I know I'm going sometime next year!

Anyway, we didn't have any definite plans for the morning, but I kind of wanted to try to get to Epcot for rope drop. I mentioned that to Brandon the night before and asked him what time he had to get up so we could get to Epcot by 9 and he said "well we have to eat first", which annoyed me! I was hoping we could just wake up and go to Epcot and grab something there, but he said he wanted actual breakfast. Whatever.

I tried waking him up early so we could eat and get to rope drop, but he was just taking forever. I tried to distract myself, since I was ready to go and not nag him...took a picture of the cute towel animals,

watched Stacey, got the backpack ready for the day...but he was just moving SO slowly! Finally I was like "hurry UP!" which finally got him moving, and we were ready to leave the room!

The plan was to eat a quick breakfast at Riverside Mill and then go to Epcot...we walked over and it was a mob scene! I have never seen a food court SO crowded! We took one look in there and said "forget it!"

I was hoping we could just go to Epcot, but Brandon was insisting we eat breakfast...so I suggest Earl of Sandwich. He was pretty moody by then because of the crowd at Riverside Mill (I tried explaining free dining to him 50 times and this is when he finally understood!) and thought it was a bad idea, but since it was early, I thought we'd be ok and the line wouldn't be too long. So we were off to EoS!

Luckily I was right and it wasn't too bad at EoS

IMG_1728.jpg

and we got our breakfast pretty quickly! I didn't take pics, sorry, but I got a bacon egg and cheddar sandwich, and Brandon got ham and swiss. They were SO good! So much better than an Egg McMuffin from Mc Donald's or something!

We finished our breakfast and I realized how late it was...my hopes of getting to Epcot by 9 were long gone, we'd be lucky to get there by 10! So now it was my turn to be moody...I was in a bad mood until we drove into Epcot, then I was fine! I don't know why I get so caught up in being places at certain times, because unless we have an ADR, it hardly ever works out that way!

Months earlier, we did volunteered for the GAD program and decided to save our vouchers for this trip, even though we could have used them on our May trip. We used Brandon's voucher for Epcot this morning so we wouldn't have to worry about getting Soarin FP's. :thumbsup2

We entered Epcot

IMG_1733.jpg

and guess where we went first?

IMG_1736.jpg

Of course...Soarin! I had to try out the GAD fast passes, and it was day 4 of the trip already and I still hadn't been on Soarin, so it was time!:woohoo:

The GAD FP's were awesome, unlike regular FP's that tell you to come back at a certain time, these let you go on the ride right away. So we got our FP's which were immediately good, and got in the FP iine!

Don't you just love the Soarin queue area?

IMG_1743.jpg

So pretty and blue!

I amused myself by taking pictures of Brandon in line

IMG_1748.jpg

and finally it was our turn to go on Soarin! :lovestruc We got great seats, right in the front and in the middle! I was so happy, I can't stand having someone feet dangling in front of me during Soarin. :rotfl: I love everything about this ride! I love the pine smell, I even found a candle at Yankee Candle that smells almost exactly like it! And I really love the end where you soar over Disneyland...always makes me want to take a trip there!

Once Soarin was finished, we decided to go to

IMG_1751.jpg

The Seas with Nemo! Ugh, I can't stand that picture, I just wanted a cute picture with the "mine" seagulls, and that's what I get. :confused3

I do love these seagulls!

IMG_1754.jpg

It's funny watching people's reactions to them when they hear them start saying "Mine...mine mine mine" :rotfl: Some people are so caught off guard!

The attraction was cute as always, it's not one of my favorites, but I do like it. It's a nice place to relax and get out of the sun for a little while.

We stopped and looked at the manatees for a few minutes

IMG_1759.jpg

and then realized it was after 11! So guess where we decided to go next? You'll never figure it out!

I'm all caught up!!! Those FP are a life savor it sounds like!

I bet you head to lunch next!

Yay! Those FP's were so awesome...I wish they were doing something this year where there was an opportunity to get them again!

We didn't go to lunch next, but that's a good guess!:rotfl:

Mmmm, breakfast at Earl of Sandwich sounds so good! I might have to ask my sister if she wants to go there one day. Though I don't know when, LOL. Too bad they don't serve breakfast stuff all day. :guilty:

Yay, I love Soarin too! :goodvibes

I would have been reacting the same way that morning! Those who aren't the planners of the trip just don't understand how important rope drop is! At least you had the GAD FP's though - they sound awesome! :goodvibes

Breakfast at EoS is really good, although, being there kind of made me wish I was there later and could get away with eating a regular sandwich! I just though that might be gross so early in the morning! You should definitely try to get there one day, I think they serve breakfast til 10 or 11! :thumbsup2

Soarin is one of my favorites! :lovestruc

LOL, I think Brandon kind of gets it now, but after our first 3 days of having to get up so early and be at the parks at specific times, I guess he was tired of it or something! I can understand, it's vacation, you should be relaxing but...it's Disney! There's no time to relax! Every year I say we are going to take our time and go slow, but once we get there, it's just not possible!

The GAD FP's were awesome, they were a huge help later in the week! :thumbsup2

With the GAD FP's I am thinking you went over to Test Track! I really wished I had participated in that. By the time I got around to signing up, the promotion was over. bummer!

EOS for breakfast - great idea! I bet their breakfast sandwiches are really good. I'll have to add that to the list!

Nice pics!

Happy NY's!!!!!!!

The GAD FP's were awesome, it's too bad they are not doing that again this year! Not just because of the free ticket or FP's, but because they got sooo many people to volunteer, you figure they'd want to do that again...oh well! :confused3

EoS is great for breakfast, it's just a pain going to DTD first thing in the morning, and we were right there!

Happy New Year! :goodvibes

Great TR so far! It's been a while since I posted so I'm going to comment on a couple different days. I loved reading about your time at the F&W festival because I've never got to enjoy it... can't wait for my Oct. trip now! All your park hopping is making me tired, I can't imagine how you two felt! I totally agree about the Flights of Wonder show, it's cute but I would never want to do it every trip! You should definitely stay at AKL some time, it's one of my favorite resorts! Finally, I can't believe you made the decision to go to EoS for breakfast. I would have been freaking out going away from "the plan" that much!:rotfl:

Finally all caught up! I love the Osborne Lights! I hope one day we can go & see them! I thought for sure you would say Stitch was the worst ride ever!!!! We never did see the bird show or FOTLK. And how did you manage to hold on to your camera to get those pics on EE?!?! I am too afraid I will drop mine!

just wanted to pop in and say happy new year and i promise im coming back to catch up at some point!

I'm so glad that Howard and I can work on the same Disney schedule with wanting to leave at the same time! However, we won't be able to benefit from that until we get married. I wonder how the other 4 are gonna be with getting out the door in February!

OoOo, I've never thought of EoS for breakfast! We plan on getting EoS for the Amtrak trip home since it'll save us money instead of buying on the train, but maybe we should get breakfast sammies there too!!! Thanks for the idea!

Just caught up - love the TR and all the pics. We plan to go next year (oops - it's now THIS year!) - in November. I'm glad Osborne lights are already up at this time.
