Tell me about it. And how many times do I have to tell you Adri that that wasn’t an Oreo cookie you had of mine:p

Well...not much for me to say tonight...I know surprise...surprise...Higgs is speechless...:)

But AP...that is too bad about your cat...I know that must be hard....My wife's mom and dad just lost their dog right as we all got back from Milwaukee....the dog named Mickey (yup...he had a hidden Mickey on his butt) got loose and was crossing the highway when he got hit...the saddest thing was that they hadn't seen him in a week and were going to pick him up the next day ( we got in too late)...my wife was pretty upset when we got the news.....

Anyway...not really related to your story AP...just thought I'd share...I know your situatuon will turn out allright.....

OK...gotta run...have a good one :)

BTW....I like fudge covered Oreos...:p

Higgs: I'm sorry to hear about your wife's mom's dog. Anyone who has or has had a pet can certainly feel for her. I know that when I happen to see a pet on the roadside, my thoughts go out to the pet's family who must me heartbroken over their loss. It's not just something that got in the way on the road, it's someone's friend and part of their life.

JW - you are so right. It just breaks my heart when I see that. It also kills me to see animals wandering around looking lost. I've picked up about 10 dogs and delivered them back home. Thank goodness, they had tags with addresses. And the reactions of these poor families who thought they would never see their friend again, made it all worthwhile.

Frankly, that's why my cats have always been indoor cats. I've never let them out because I don't think I could handle it if they didn't come back, or I found them on the road.

So sorry about your family's loss Higgs.

OK - enough on that note. I'm off to rank some of my players for the draft.

I just want to say that Im sorry about your wife's dog as well Higgs. I lost my dog over 2 years ago and I still haven't been able to bring myself to get another to replace 'Cujo'.

Humm..come to think of it, I still haven't been able to bring myself to replace my Beta fish; 'Kuzko.'

Contrary to popular belief, they are not pets - they are family.

So that is how ITSA found his way back home:teeth:

Higgs, sorry about your wife's dog. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. I held Shane as we put him down, he was 16 years old, had an awesome life but I still miss the little dude. Yes, he was and still is family.

Boss, you just brought tears to my eyes. I've had to put down 3 animals because of age or illness. The hardest part for me is actually driving them to the vet that morning knowing what I'm doing.

Oh yikes, whew, someone change the subject.

Sorry about that Lizzie. But think of all the fun times you had with those two dogs and the tears of sorrow will soon turn to tears of joy. :D

How is this for a change of subject. It seems that at Universal Studios in Orlando a man lost his prosthetic leg while riding Dueling Dragons. Park officials believe that his leg went in the pond and have had divers searching for it for a couple of days. If they can not come up with the leg then the park will get the man a new leg. I don’t know if anyone out there knows anything about prosthetic limbs but do they not absorb water after being submerged for some time.

Sandy! There you are - I've been meaning to show you this article:

Considering the fact that they don't even mention Canada as part of the blackout - how the heck could we be at fault like so many American's thought?!?

My cat is an indoor cat also, I totally agree with you. There's just too many bad things out there. Sebastian (long story, a girl cat with a boy cat's name :p) is my baby, I'd be lost without her. I wish people would be more responsible with their pets.

Good luck with the rankings, I'm lookin forward to the draft. Pay attention to recent news, as players get injured, etc.... :)

Speaking of the Football draft...(humm...I was about to post this last Thursday afternoon, when all of a sudden BAM! I couldn't....)

anyhow...not that Im making excuses for coming in dead last in this league already - but I have to. You see - the draft doesn't work if your 'puter is blocked by a firewall, as mine is here at work...so you can not pick your own players...I am SO not happy 'bout this...

So - note to all players for Adri's Fantasy Football League - test your system first on the Yahoo site to see you if you are able to participate in the draft or not

As long as you pre-rank your players you should do ok. Actually I've gotten some of my best teams that way. If you need any help, let me know - hint.... rank all Eagles the highest! :teeth:

Or maybe it was too subtle for you? You're not one of those people who need emoticons to warn you that irony is being used, are you?

And just in case you don't get the irony.
 :smooth:    :p

Actually, it was because the media was too quick to jump to conclusions, blaming it on the Niagra Power Plant.

Thanks for the article madonna, it's much more fun blaming Ohioans. Probably somebody's cow got caught in a power station.
