A Little Bit Pirate
, A Little Bit Princess
It was finally the night we (well, I) had been waiting for...the Pirate and Princess Party!!

After cooling off in the pool for a little bit we got ready for the party. We were boring and didn't wear costumes. I thought about making t-shirts before the trip so we'd have something but decided I'd rather spend the money on souvenirs in Florida.
The tickets for the party were valid for any time after 4:00 so we left around 4:15. There was a fair number of people waiting at the bus stop who were obviously getting ready to party too so that was kind of fun. When we got to the MK my dad had an interesting story about the bus ride. The bus was going kind of slow and it took longer than usual to get to the park. I thought it was just traffic so didn't really think anything of it. Claire and I were also in the back of the bus so we had no idea what was going on up in front. Well, when we get off the bus Dad tells us that there was this little boy who really had to go to the bathroom and couldn't wait. So, his mom pulls out an empty bottle and has him do his business in it!

Hmmm...
Anyways, we arrived at the park and went through the bag check. They were using one side of the turnstiles as the party entrance so we entered and got our wristbands. It was so cool because even though the party hadn't started yet the CMs were dressed in their special costumes and they were also starting to put up the decorations! Our first stop was to get a photopass picture in front of the railroad station. The photographer gave us a new card since it was good for a 40% discount on prints at the party or on the photopass website. That would come in handy when we got home.
We also picked up our party maps and went to check out the wait times. Again, they were really short. The longest wait for anything might've been 30 minutes. We decided we'd start out with the things we missed on Thursday so we headed over to Adventureland first. We saw that Timon and Rafiki were out so we went to say hello.
My picture turned out kind of bad, so I'll refrain from posting it.

Since it was right there, we got in line for the Magic Carpets of Aladdin. We only had to wait one cycle before we got on.
After soaring over Agrabah (sp?!?!) we went to see the Tiki birds. I can't remember the last time we saw this show...I don't even know if it was before or after the renovation. Anyway, I thought it was fun. I thought it was broken though at first because one of the birds wouldn't "wake up" but I guess that was all part of the show.
We also did POTC. On the way out we saw Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. I think both of them were trying to impress me-they both kissed my hand. hehe
We were kind of bummed that the Jungle Cruise was closed for refurbishment so we decided to go get some dinner. I took this picture of the castle leaving Adventureland:
So we headed back to Main Street to get dinner at Casey's Corner. I love those hot dogs...so tasty! I was looking at the times guide for the party and saw that Splash Mountain was supposedly closed during the party so we wanted to make sure to do that again before 7:00 (I'm not quite sure why it would be closed and I don't even know if it really was...we thought maybe it was from when SM was being refurbed and they just didn't take it off the guide??

)
After dinner we made our way to Fantasyland.
We went on it's a small world first.
Funny story about this ride: when my dad and I were in
Disneyland in 2007, we ended up getting stuck on iasw for almost an hour and had to be evacuated from the boats...
So now whenever we go on it I always am afraid that's going to happen again.

Luckily we didn't get stuck this time.

But I was a bad girl and snapped a few pictures along the way.
We were able to go on Peter Pan, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Snow White too. And this was still before the official start of the party.
Stay tuned for more!
PS-I started working on some scrapbook pages from this trip and will post pictures later.
