I am planning to apply for a 2005 Fall or 2005 Fall Advantage.. I am not sure which. I know that the actual application period is over six months from now, but time flies at school as most of you know!

I was wondering: is there a way to apply for the Advantage, but still be considered for the normal one? I want to spend as long as possible working, but I don't want it to impact my chances of being selected..

Hi Disney Dude,

My ds is a WDWCP right now, on the Fall Advantage program, so maybe I can help. You will need to wait until next spring to do your interview if you want to work next fall. (Disney recruits one semester at a time.) During your interview, you can indicate that you are interested in the Advantage program.

When my son received his confirmation that he had been accepted into the program, he had his choice of several start dates, and chose the first one for this summer - May 19th.

My DD was in the CP this past spring for 1 semester. She was asked if she would consider extending her time, so apparently you can get more time after you start but it is not the same as the advantage program.

Hey DisneyDude.... i'm an alumni of the College program from the spring of 2002 and a campus rep for my school. From conversations I have had with the recruiter over the past 3-4 semesters, there have actually been more offers to people who apply to the advantage programs then for the regular programs. so going on what has happened in the recent past, you do not have to worry about this problem. But as always this could change.....
