CRUISE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11-16-03
I woke up feeling better and figured we would head to MK before we had to be back to get on the bus to the port. Oneill however had different ideas and had no desire to go to a park at all, he only wanted to swim. So figuring that we swam! I enjoyed just actually sitting and watching him and he met several kids that were also going on the cruise with us. We went back to the room and got dressed for the cruise and waited for the bus. The ride over they showed cartoons and the ship video. I was so excited to see the Wonder ahead. No trouble boarding the ship at all met up with my travel agent Janis it was nice to meet her after all this time. Found out where to go for the pin pick ups and had our picture taken before boarding. Headed straight to the room. Oh side note here...I debated a long time about renting a scooter for the cruise portion of the trip and decided it was best to do and I am glad I did, however the company I used either didnt charge the battery or it was left on by a crew member at the port and I barely had enough juice to get to the room. We had stateroom 6654 all the way aft on deck 6. Its a handicapped accessible room and its HUGE and the veranda is well MASSIVE! I could have had 100 of my closest friends on it! O'neill of course could hardly wait to get to the pool so thats where we went as soon as the lifeboat drill ended. I felt that the crew did a great job in assisting me to the drill in my scooter. Oneill had lunch and then swam for about 2 hours, and didnt even notice us moving. I was amazed and as usuall got chills hearing the horn. One thing that surprised me was how many people sit along the route that the ships take and watch them leave port and head into the open sea. We headed back to the room as Oneill wanted to go to the kids clubs welcome party. Got him ready and I checked out the internet cafe, and relaxed before Golden Mickeys. I didnt go to the dinner that nite only because we ate a late lunch and I was a bit quesy from the motion. I picked up Oneill and headed to Golden Mickeys, I loved it. My complaint is however that they showed it the first nite, I was so tired after the long day that I had a hard time staying awake and so did Oneill. We headed back to the cabin and headed to bed.
