Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios? I'll be going to WDW next summer in 2017 for the first time. We'll be staying at least two weeks. On top of the four parks, we plan on going to Universal Studios. I'm wondering if there's anything else that you would suggest doing? I'm sure we'll do one of the water parks. What else?

Would you please tell me about these places? What goes on there, etc??

Disney Springs has a ton of shopping (most Disney themed, but not all), lots of restaurants, activities, etc. It recently underwent a major refurbishment. Check out what they offer here: https://www.disneysprings.com... there's so much - movies, bowling, etc, etc.

Disney's Boardwalk is a hotel, but out back they have a replica wooden boardwalk with games, restaurants, shopping, etc. The Disney art store here is my favorite, the games and entertainment are fun, and be sure to stop in Boardwalk bakery for some treats. You can walk all the way around if you plan on dining at Disney's Yacht or Beach Club (other Disney hotels - if you like steak be sure to check out Yachtsman), and you can also take the boat to Hollywood Studios from here and walk to Epcot.

THANK YOU!!!! I see I'm going to have so many choices. :thumbsup2

If you want to splurge, get tickets (even the cheapest ones) to La Nouba (Cirque du Soleil) at Disney Springs. It's absolutely outstanding and worth every penny.

Make sure you see all the nighttime spectaculars/fireworks at the parks! Do. Not. Miss. The Fireworks! Every park! Seriously! They're amazing.

If you are going to The Boardwalk, I would suggest going at night. It is really beautiful at night and they usually have performers out at that time like jugglers, etc. It is also in between Epcot and Hollywood Studios and both are within walking distance with nice paths along the waterway. If you time it right, you can be on the Boardwalk and also see some of the Epcot and Hollywood Studios Fireworks. There are also some very interesting food choices near The Boardwalk as well. There is Shula's Steakhouse, The Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream, PB&J Milkshakes at The Fountain in Swan and Dolphin and then also one of only a few ESPN Zones left and plenty of other Boardwalk treats.

Discovery Cove. Worth every penny.
Yes, plus you will get 14 day tickets to SeaWorld and Aquatica as part of the package. Totally worth it, esp if one of you upgrades $25 and includes Busch Gardens and free parking. Just 2 visits will cost more than $25 parking.

Where will you be staying and who's in your party? Some of the resorts have activities that are fun depending on ages. . .

Check out the different resorts. There are lots of really good restaurants and activities, especially at the deluxe resorts. Animal Kingdom Lodge has night vision for watching the animals. California Grill atop the Contemporary Resort is a great place for food & drinks with an awesome view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Disney Springs . . . and Cirque Du Soleil La Nouba is an AWESOME show!!! If anyone in your group is a car nut, Old Town isn't too far away, and they have car cruises there all the time. We had a great time there when we visited.

I second the water parks suggestion! Get to both if you can (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon). They are SO much fun, way better than the average water parks most of us are used to. And there's no better way to spend a super hot and humid Florida day in the summer!

It will most likely just be me, DH and our two DD's who will be 11 and 7 by the time we go. We haven't decided where we're staying yet. It will either be at a value or moderate resort.
