WDW Weekly Photo Contest

Contest Topic: Disney is in the details
Any Disney aficionado will tell you, one of the great joys of visiting the parks, resorts, and cruise line is all the little details that Disney puts in. Not just hidden Mickies (that contest is coming later). Let's see some photos of Disney details.

Entries Accepted: Jan 14 - Jan 20

Photo Contest Rules
Pictures should be as original as possible with minimal editing. This is a photography contest, not a photo editing contest. Please post your entry by midnight Sunday, January 20, 2008 for it to be included in voting.

This was taken on Castaway Cay. As a bit of background for those who have not been there, there is a walking/cycling path to an observation tower. This was one of the sights from the tower which I never expected to see...

well i am certainly no photographer so i am kind of embarassed to even post anything here.. but i do have a kind of neat 'detail' photo to share (just posted on another forum). This is a picture of the acutal pirate medallion given to Elizabeth Swan by Will Turner in the POTC movie..a cm was kind enough to point it out this past Sept.

Everything just fits, even down to the accerlerated aging of sings where appropriate.

AFAIK, there's only one dragon actually lurking in Animal Kingdom (though the original plan called for more; something on the order of a whole 'land' devoted to fantasy animals!) -- it can be seen below the bridge approaching Discovery Island:

Our Pal Mickey pointed it out to us, otherwise, we'd have missed it! ::MickeyMo :goodvibes

Hi,

This was truley too funny. We were on our way out of MGM just looking at the windows as we went when we came a cross this "lady". What made it even funnier is we had a 14 and 15 yo boy with us that did a double take and I said "wow Disney gave her a figure;) " Boys were speechless :lmao:

I'll enter this on behalf of my DD8. She took this and I think it is just great. Her eye for the "unusual" shot is really cool.

There are a couple more dragons in AK...the lamps were made before they nixed the "dragon land" idea and I believe the same logo is etched into some AK benches~

That is great! I try to look for the "unusual" shot, but I always seem to get the ordinary shots. :confused3

Storyteller's boat ride at DL (if you have not done this, you really should) These models are amazing.

If you're not looking up when walking thru Animal Kingdom, you might not see these:

The Wicked Queen peeks out the second floor window every thirty seconds or so. Not everyone notices her.
