WDW Weekly Photo Contest - Nov 19th thru Nov 25th - Magic Kingdom!!!

Don't know specifically about the rules on this one, but the only park officially called "Magic Kingdom" is in Orlando. Disneyland California was originally referred to as The Magic Kingdom, but not any longer.

Not trying to stir up the pot. Just want to get things straight. I have no problem if Dana's meaning for the contest is that any of the 5 "major" parks park; ie: Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland California and Magic Kingdom Orlando.

I think Dana's first post reads "pictures of anything at any Magic Kingdom". If I've misunderstood, I would be happy to post something else this week. Can someone out there confirm... :)

You are right! I just went to Disneyland Paris website. They don't call it Magic Kingdom. I don't know why I thought they did. Maybe because its so similar. Ooopps!!

Ah, and there is the rub. Although true, "The Magic Kingdom" is officially in Orlando, those of us that called Disneyland "The Magic Kingdom" before WDW was built will probably always believe DL deserves the official name. (It's a good things lawyers aren't involved otherwise DL would be suing WDW)

[Legal notice: I accept no responsibility for any negative reference to the legal profession above as my fingers are not necessarily attached in any way to a central processing unit {brain}]

Kind of like that Coke commercial where Coca-Cola Classic is trying to sue Coca-Cola Zero because its supposed to taste just like Coke Classic.

This topic came up on another board I've visited so I've seen the results of the research. Some people may not know officially. Like I said, its up to Dana, either way is fine for me.

I would guess that Dana meant Magic Kingdom-style Disney park - ie, with a Main Street leading to a castle. That being said, I'll play it safe and not use a DL photo. :)

I believe you are correct. It does make sense to write it that way. "ANY" Magic Kingdom Park. Otherwise the title of the contest would be "Magic Kingdon, Disneyland Park, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland Park".

Seems as though Dana is 1 step ahead of us. Works for me. play on.

This was taken early in the morning (see how happy he looks as he is waiving?).
