It seems like they are pushing Clay, but hey that's the producers prerogative. All the ones that are left seem well spoken, so I don't buy your argument Madonna. If you all want to say Josh is not your idea of an American Idol (and yes Nashville Stars would have been a better fit, but which gets watched more? And I don't think he should be the American Idol, but I do like him) then how is Clay the ideal American Idol? He would be far better taking Broadway auditions. I really want to see him do something different, maybe show us just a bit of energy (he never has any when he sings). I guess he just doesn't connect with me. I enjoy his voice and all, I just think he would better fit some where else.

Hey Jas - Clay told me that he will *show some energy* when Ruben does...(that left hand of his pointing the audience is all the guy has ever done...)

If we are talking energy - Josh has it hands down!!! (he is my fav. guy to watch for the energy he has!)

I think that all three of them connect VERY well with me... did I just say that ouloud?!?

BTW - I dont think that the producers have to *push* anyone...the audience will let the ladies go, painfully one at a time...then Ricky...then - between Josh, Clay and Ruben is when the show will get REALLY good!

I agree Madonna, once all those ladies are dumped it will be SO MUCH better. I can handle Rickey over all of them. Idunno Ruben has the cute smile and all, plus he "sparkles" when he sings. I don't get the same from Clay. I guess what I am trying to say is you can tell Ruben is enjoying himself, Clay goes out there and does his thing and doesn't really "try". I can't really get into words what I am trying to say. Sigh I better not do much writing today. lol

P.S. What's with the pink lip gloss????

Well I must admit that I enjoyed last nights show a hell of a lot more than that of last week. My thoughts, that is if anyone really cares.

Clay – still my favorite of all the idols. I feel that he has a very smooth clear voice. I realize that he does a lot of soft/love songs (so does 205 if you minus the Sweet Home Alabama) but I feel that with some coaching he will be able to wail out those faster rock tunes. I see him as a cross between an Elton John, Billy Joel and Roger Daultry. I fell that he will be safe tonight.

Josh – he was great last night. I made a lot of fun of him last week but I had to respect him when he basically said that he was not into disco but he did the best that he could do. I thought that he nailed last night’s song. Is he the AI, no because he is too Country but like Jas I see the vultures in Nashville standing by to pick up this good ole boy. He is safe tonight.

Kim C – she really sucked, I mean that was bad. I could not get into the song at all. Simon was right when he said that not even Robin Hood can save her. Bottom 3.

Kim L – I didn’t see it. I thought that she was brutal and that she has done a hell of a lot better. I really do not know what the judges saw in her but that was bad. She will live to see another week because of the carry over vote from last week.

Carmen – Ouch, that was brutal. Definitely bottom 3.

Trenyce – that was brutal also, I am so tired of that Whitney/Mariah/ Celine style. Bottom 3.

Rickey – great personality, the best that I have seen him but just not my style. I hope that the guy makes it big in the business because he seems so nice, it just won’t be as an AI. He’ll be safe for the week.

205 – The guy sounded ok last night. Really I don’t get all the accolades that he gets and Clay does not. Both men sing soft songs week after week after week. I will give 205 the Alabama song he sang a few weeks back was AMAZING, but other than that has he done anything other than Luther Vandross or Barry White sounding songs. Why is it that every time someone says that he sounds like a young Luther of Barry the world goes crazy, yet to say that Trenyce sounds like Whitney we all say that we are tired of that. I agree that 205 has a great voice but you will not catch me buying a CD of his if he continues to pump out the tunes such as those of last night. If the guy uses those chops the way he did a few weeks back then ya, I’d be hooked. As for now, he is no different than Clay. He’s safe.

By the way, I realize that everyone was waiting for 205 to get rid of the 205 , but that in my eyes just lost him some credibility. If we all rewind our tapes from the first show you will hear him say that he will wear the 205 every time because it is who he is and where he comes from, he wants to represent the good people of Alabama. Could it be that 205 is already forgetting these people and listening to his handlers who are telling him to change his image some what. I felt sorry for all those fans that had 205 shirts on last night when the “Left handed waving 205” dude did not.

Okay, everyone stop picking on Carmen. It wasn't that bad. Definitely not as bad as Kimberly C. Man when Paula told her to take risks, I don't think she meant musical suicide.

Clay does need a more upbeat song to show a different side, but he is still the one to beat. There's more to this AI thing than just vocal presentation. It's all about charisma and sex appeal and both Clay and Ruben have that hands down. Even looking at it from a guy's perspective, how can any girl not get weak-kneed by Ruben's dimples or Clay's boyish good looks?

I'm sorry, guys, but Kimberly Locke is looking better each week and I predict that she'll be the last girl to go.

Bottom three: Trenyce, Kimberly C. and Carmen. And to try to secure my place back at the top, I'm going against the flow to predict Kimberly C. goes bye-bye.

IMHO - I am tired of the Media *creating* the perfect image for us!!! And thankfully America proved them wrong when they voted Kim L and Vanessa in the top 12 (Simon said they were overweight)

I think that Ruben AND Clay may not be *gorgeous* based on the Media's standards...but they are A-OK in my books!!! They are both sexy in their personalities ALONE...and to me - NOTHING matter's more then that...(the fact that I welcome them both to sing me to sleep everynight only makes them sexier!!)

But bottom line?!? Do I buy an Aerosmith album 'cause of the picture of Steven Tyler on the front?!? Heck no...I buy the CD for the SONGS!!!! (the fact that Steven's sexy is just an added bonus) So I could care less if the artists' are fat, thin, blind, deaf, ugly, pretty or wear pink lip gloss!

Hey Michael Jackson is the biggest music freak around, but I would be lying if I said that I didn't love his music!!! And has everyone forgotten that Elvis use to *smash his TV's to pieces*?!?

Look, I am not one to keep this going (Yeah right). The pink lip gloss was just one thing really. I don't find him sexy at all (not that he needs to be for me to like him). I'm not crazy about his singing style and the way he performs. I THINK that is important when picking the AI.

I'll be the first to say that media can take what it thinks is perfect and stick it up its collective butt.

I'll bet Deena & Butch can both sing. And should perform a duet - perhaps "Tea for Two" with a little soft shoe as well. I think it should be singing AND dancing, so the tone deaf and uncoordinated both have an even shot at it.
