OT, who are Chuck and Allana? Actually I would like to see the judges sing, minus Paula of course since we already know about her. Unless someone wants to see and hear Cold Hearted Snake once again.

Well....if it were based on the first song...Clay would be GONE....but ....he redeemed himself with the other 2 songs....so I think he'll remain safe and Kim will go home.

The search for America's "most boring" Idol continues. I just could not get excited about last nights performances. I will say this, and oh my it kills me, Clay's second song was the best of the night.

What I want to know is, who the heck picked out the songs they had to draw from. Holy moly, was it a kind of, lets throw the worst songs in there and see if they sink or swim kinda thing? And please what was with the Paula's stupid hat. I wanted to smack that thing off her head.

And another thing...THREE DAYS next week. Come on, 4 hours of this to wrap it up????? The producers are killing their own show. Based on this, if there is a third season, I don't know if I will be tuning in. At the very least they need to make sure the people they pick have personalities. ugh

I don't know my vote this week. I wanna say Kim L. as it should be her, but again, I don't know about the boy/girl thing.

Anyone else notice that Ruben was a real mess last night? I mean he was signing great, but he was a nervous wreck plus he was sweating. I was afraid he was going to pass out. I did like the idea of voting Seacrest off though.

And AP, thanks for the vote, I would love to be the American Idol and I can guarantee I wouldn't be boring.

I thought last night's show was good. Kimberly is really starting to shine and while Vincent (I always thought it was called Starry Night. Didn't James Taylor do that?) wasn't the best song for him, it was OK. Clay did knock down Mack the Knife and Unchained Melody though. As far as Ruben goes, once you get past hthe infectious personality, yuo realize how limited he is as a singer. He really has no range, not close to what Clay and Kmberly have. And I think the competition is starting wear on him. Aside from what Jas observed, his voice sounded really raspy.

If I judge on hard hard it was to get through, Clay should have no problem. I'm having a real proble trying to decide who will get voted off. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and hoping for a boy-girl final two, guess that Ruben gets voted off tonight.

Speaking of tonight, why the heck is it one hour???

I still think Kim is going tonight. And Gometros, I think Don McLean recorded Vincent. Band of Gold was a great choice in my opinion, but the randomly-picked songs both men sang were both tough to sing.

Clay's Unchained Melody was terrific and so was Ruben's If Ever You're In My Arms Again. Kim was steady and solid, but nothing special.

Remember that Kim sang "Band of Gold" with Frenchie earlier on. It's pretty amazing that she picked out the same song.

I think I may be leaning toward Ruben getting voted off tonight for the boy/girl final. Still not sure though.

Me, I'm not decided but leaning toward Ruben.

I need votes from Nicole, mlcar, jwill (yeah right), OT, Blu (if she's still out there), Higgs, and who ever else I forgot or wants to cast a vote. I think that covers everyone. Phew.

I actually enjoyed seeing Clay totally hose the first song. IT made him seem like a real contestant and not so polished. Forgetting the words on live TV with millions of viewers, a big audience and Simon?? Ouch. But, wow, what a recovery. People that didn't know the song might not have noticed. His second song was great. Third song, I agree with Randy...that was a terrible arrangement but he sang it well.

Ruben not only looked a mess, he seems like he's going to pass out when he sings uptempo. His best song was Smile.

Kim sounded terrible on her second song. OK on her last one and great on her first one.

I have to stick with the way I'd like it to go rather than try to figure out if the producers fudge the numbers. So I'll say Kim L goes tonight. Ruben and Clay have too many dedicated fans to let them down. I could only get through to vote for Clay once...I think that's a good sign he's safe.
