WDW "Vacation A Day" Contest!

We're you notified that you won by a phone call first or by FedEx mail?

Also, do they reach out to the daily winners every day or at the end of the contest?

This is so exciting. Hope one of us Disers wins and must do a TR! :)

We got a phone call first then they sent an email. We didn't get anything in the mail until it was closer to the trip.

Lol! FedEx comes late around my neighborhood... I was just in the shower, the dog barked (he never barks), and no one else is home. My first thought? Maybe FedEx left something at the door!?! Lol, nope, just a dog on TV.

LOL Similar thing happened to me today but the FedEx guy did come to my door...to drop off something for my DH for work! :crazy2:

I haven't entered yet myself. I'm still basking in the glow of my recent winning of MegaMillions Lottery. Yep, thats right. I got 1 number right and won $1 so I can say I won MegaMillions. Have no idea why the news media hasn't contacted me yet for the standard winners interview.

Good to see the light side on the board! :lmao:

Not even close. We just got back from 5 full park days at DLR and felt like we missed so much. I can't wait to go back.

I think someone had figured that with the holiday and all.....the first winner would be notified on Monday. I believe folks were notified in groups once or twice a week last year, including Saturdays. You don't have to wait until the end of the month to be notified. Although I recall that one person won as an alternate meaning that the first daily winner was either ineligible or didn't respond. That person was notified quite some time after the day they won. I think the winners could tell from the paperwork on which date their entry won.

Am so excited too! How many wanna bet that someone here wins by the end of next week?

I secretly want so badly to win for 1/3, today. Today is our 10th wedding anniversary. We are supposed to be in WDW, eating at Narcoossee's right now, but had to postpone our trip because hubby got the stomach plague 2 days before we were supposed to leave. Come on Monday, come on DIS winners!

Hmm. I'm thinking they forgot to call me today to tell me I won. I will expect my call on Monday I guess.

Thinking about if my family of 5 won :)....I know you can pay the way for the fifth person. Most WDW Deluxe resorts can accommodate a family of five. Can any of the Disneyland resort single rooms accommodate a family of five or would you have to pay for a second room due to max occupancy of 4 people?

I know our recent standard room at the Paradise Pier could sleep 5. But I also remember staying at the GC a few years back in a standard room and worrying we might get one of the rooms that didn't sleep 5. The rooms we have had at the DLH have slept 5, but I don't remember if some are different.

I have a family of six so I'm wondering that as well. Lol oh how I would love to win!! If you know my DH and I you would know we are the least lucky people in the world. You know when people's comments to you are "man if you didn't have bad luck you'd have no luck at all" all the time how unlucky you are. But I'll keep hoping :)

This is so exciting!!

I have never been to Disneyland, so that would be my first choice. Grand Californian for sure! I love the craftsman style architecture and decor - it's so beautiful. Without a doubt, I would want to go in early December to see the holiday decorations.

With WDW, I can never decide which deluxe I would stay at if I could choose without a care. The only deluxe I have ever stayed at is Wilderness Lodge, which I LOVE, but I think I would aim for a "dream" (read: more expensive) deluxe. :cool2: I've always wanted to stay at a monorail hotel, but for all my daydreaming, I can never decide which one! Isn't it odd to be so indecisive even in daydreaming?

Hmm, I hadn't even thought about "when."

I've always wanted to go for the Food & Wine Festival, but DH is a soccer coach and that is in season. But boy, we could do some delicious damage with that $500 gift card!!

When would others go?

Good luck everyone!!! Let's get some winners from the Dis!!

I'll play. My choices would either be summer (b/c of work) or try to talk work into giving me a week off and go next year around Halloween, trying to hit F&W, MNSSHP, and MVMCP all in one go. :cool1:

So if I enter my email address and dh's which is different but we both have the same physical address will I disqualify our entries? The wording is unclear to me with the email address (Address) thing....

No, you'll be allowed to enter both of you, as long as you each have your own email address. It is worded weirdly.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm afraid to have my DH enter too because of how it's worded. So for now it's just been me entering.

I am so excited to win this contest! My husband and I are debating World vs. Land. I would chose Disneyland, but he wants to go to Disneyworld. He says he is worried about an earthquake while we are on a ride in California. :confused3 I am entering both of our names everyday, so whoever wins can decide!

Thank you! I hope I get to put your knowledge to good use!!
