Thursday 21st August

woke up & yes....its still raining
good news - they finally opened the pool
bad news - we didnt go in as we wanted to visit HRH!!!
good news - we swam in HRH pool

Had breakfast at the orchid court again
Then headed off to catch the resort bus to HRH, i liked this hotel but still prefered the theming of RPR!

Leanne (DD) & I went in the EMPTY pool (DH wasnt impressed with the rain but hey! its still warmer than back home!!!
I loved the underwater speakers, we didnt want to risk DD's ear infection coming back so she didnt get to hear them properly but she did hang one ear over the surface!! & we went on the slide...then the heavens opened ..again.. but hey i was already wet right!! DH sat undercover at the bar & the barmaid asked him if i was mad!!!

We headed back to RPR for lunch at Jakes bar
i had the best macarroni i'd ever tasted!!
DD - pizza
Dh - burger - which he decleared as excellent!

We then headed over to Universal wearing our ponchos

We did Terminator & when we came out it was THROWING it down with very high winds, still we went over to the awesome Simpsons ride and then the Mummy - which DD wont do - guess what!!! she rode it ...TWICE...result!! i think she just wanted to get out of the rain!!!
Twister was ironic everyone joked it was no different to outside!!

By now my feet & trainers were soaked but i was determined to visit Bob Marleys for dinner, so we get a table & i go off to dry my socks out in the toilet!!!
I had the beef pattie with yucca fries - very nice - especially the cucumber dip!
DD - Jerk chicken & yucca fries (this looked like a burger
DH - Jerk chk curry with rice - good!

When we headed over to catch the boat back to RPR they had stopped running due to the high winds so we walked (or squelched) back.

After a hot shower we chill in our room with some goodies!
so sad we cant make the most of citywalk or the pool (which had closed again!) & we only have 3 days left

next time...Aquatica rained off!, finally we get in the pool! & Mamma Dellas at portofino Bay

Another great update Tracey,fab photo's-love the one of your Dd+Dh .Shame about the weather,we can't wait to ride the Simpsons ,me+Dd7 are really looking forward to it.What type of souvenirs are in the ride shop?.x.

We'd had enough of the rain by today too. We got caught in the World Showcase in the evening, and we'd never been in rain like it - we were soaked through (even with ponchos)

I don't blame your DD riding The Mummy to get out of the rain Did she enjoy it ?

Only one more day of TS Fay to put up with now

Lovely day again. I am glad you enjoyed your visit to the Hard Rock. It is my favourite hotel out of the two. When we were there in the summer it had such a party feel about it with loads of people sitting in and around the pool but in December it was really quiet (still enjoyed it but didn't have the party vibe we had previously experienced).
