Our trip started here in Philadelphia. We don't fly so we will start at the Amtrak station. Our train is on schedule we will leave around 1:00 pm. We got some sandwiches and drink from McDonalds and ate while waiting for the train to arrive. The boys read Archie comics and did a little bit a wandering and many trips to the bathroom. ( you'll see a theme here )

Anyway, we were assigned seats 14, 15, 16, & 17 on the train. They are across the aisle from each other which is what i was hoping for. Our train car was very very crowded with most passengers going to Orlando.

and didn't waste anytime asking for the portable DVD player we brought along. I told them they had to wait until it got darker outside or they wouldn't be able to see the screen very well. So they decided they had to go to the bathroom. ( you will see a theme here)
Now usually there is a 15-20 minute wait in Washington as Amtrak switches from electric to diesel ( or vice versa) engine. But this time we had to wait 45 minutes for another train to arrive because they had passengers that were scheduled to get on our train.
On the train we had burgers, pizza and sodas from the snack counter for dinner. Burgers were pretty good if you ate them quickly . The boys said the pizzas were good but I wouldn't have ate them.
After dinner I allowed and to watch a movie. The picked Mask with Jim Carey. I laughed because they were over there giggling like a couple of girls and of course you couldn't hear what they were laughing at since you have to use earphones. But they were funny

We arrived at the Orlando Amtrak station right on time. Our driver , Rodger, from ****** transportation was as usual waiting for us. We always use ****** and often have Rodger as our driver. We arrived at Carribbean Beach Resort in about a half an hour.

Checking in we find we are in South Trinidad. DH and I were in South Trinidad last October for the F&WF. We surprised and with a Pirate's Theme room.

the nightstand between the 2 beds is also a barrel. On the table is a large compass design and the privacy curtain has the skull and crossbones from POTC. Inside the shower is a carving of the Flying Dutchman ship. (I have photos if anyone wants to see them, it is just a pain to resize and then post them all because my computer is really old and slow lol)

back to TR : We pretty much just hung around and explored the resort today. The boys got into the pool but not the really cool main one. has a pool at home so he wasn't very excited about swimming much to 's disappointment. After having dinner the boys played in the arcade for about an hour then went onto the Discover Cay island to see what they could discover. They apparently discovered their inner pirate because both came back with pop pistals from the pirate display in the gift shop. Needless to say a shoot out ensued on the balcony soon after.

Back to dinner - & did not see anything appetizing on the SHutter's menu so they got food from the food court. After seeing them settled , Dh and I did go to Shutters. We both had the Mediterranean Pasta with shrimp. A berry Pina Colada and for dessert i had the Tres Leche and Dh had the sugar free cheesecake. I thought the tres leche tasted alot like rice pudding only cake instead of rice. It was still good. I love the cilantro butter they serve with the bread... so yummmy! ( photos on cell not sure how to get them on here yet. )

I'm in! I love reading about other people's trips to Disney. It's what keeps me sane until my next Disney vacation.

Ooh, and I love the pirate room pictures. We are CBR lovers (have stayed there four times) but have never stayed in the pirate rooms. Nice pics!

Stitch called again this year to wake us at 7:00 am. We briskly walked over to have breakfast before heading out. loves loves loves Disney breakfasts. The pancake counter doesn't open until 8:00 so Dh and I both had omlets. I'm pretty sure did too. had mickey waffle.
We thought we were being smart going for EMMH's that were posted at the resort. So did apparently a million other guests. But well TL pulled a fastone and apparently there wasn't EMMH that day. So we were all crammed together like a bunch of cattle . But that didn't matter too much once we got in.

After staking out a chair/ lounge and getting the boys familiar with where we were, we sent them off. LOL but they didn't go far... went to the lazy river same as DH and I. & got out pretty quick and went to the wave pool. Once around and Dh and I followed. I LOVE the wave pool about as much as loves breakfasts. We had an awesome time body surfing and wave riding. THe one thing Dh and I and DS still laugh over is there was another kid about 12 or 13 that came up to Dh and said in a very Yoda-like voice with hand " wisely" together " I KNOW MANY THINGS" We just kinda looked at him and looked at each other and mumbled something like " that s nice". He then proceeded to tell DH something about a friend - Pluto- and Mars . Dh said HE knew a friend that did exactly opposite what ever the kid said. We have no idea who he was and pretty much ignored his Sagaciousness after that.
For lunch we just got snacks. The boys each got a mickey pop. ate half of his and gave the rest to Dh got a fruit cup and I got a soft pretzel. We shared them.
After eatting ( or not eatting) the boys went to give Crush and Cusher a try. Dh and I checked out the shark reef and went back to the Lazy River. We were done so we just chilled on out lounge chair. Finally we decided we wouldn't be getting back in the water so we went to change. Soon we found the boys and they were done so they went off to change as well. This was around 3:30 - 4:00 and it started raining. So of course the park starting clearing out .
's shirt got wet so he had to wear a damp shirt to dinner. As you can see he was real chipper for a little while.

Dinner was at the Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge. Dh was convinced that the bus that went to Ft wilderness also went to the Lodge. So instead of arguing i said fine, and let him find out for himself. So luckily we had plenty of time to spare so we to the " scenic" route via Ft Wilderness interior bus to Pioneer Hall on to the ferry to WL.

We arrived like 2 hours early for our ressies.

Not being shy, I asked the CM if I could put our name in and if anything opened up, could be we seated. I assured her I wouldn't expect it as ADR's are adr's. She said no guarantees but to take the beeper and she would notify if anything became available. We were seated in less then 1/2 an hour.
Our server was Gino Casino. He spot-lights as it was on our paper it was his first visit. I think liked the attention : )

Both the boys got steak,

Dh got meatloaf

and I got ribs.

For dessert the guys all got apple pie and I optted for pecan pie. DELISH!
We were too full to eat dessert so we took them back to the resort with us. After dinner we took the boat to Magic Kingdom to hop the bus to CBR. On our way from the boat to the bus stop I spied the one and only other DISser I saw. Needless to say I fished in my back to pull 1 LGMh to add to the others she had on her stroller. We didn't chat much as she was busy with her kids.
