WDW travel Superbowl Weekend

I just read that the Superbowl is going to be in Miami in 2007. Of course, it happens on the weekend that we are flying into Orlando (Feb 2, 2007). Should I be worrying? Are discount flights going to be blacked out for those days? Yikes! Should I wait for prices to drop or will there be no tickets left?

Am I making a mountain out a molehill? Please tell me I am!

The Super Bowl will be played in Miami, not Orlando.

A much bigger problem is that later that week (2/7-2/10), the Builders show will be in town. Largest convention of the year (the 2006 show was the largest convention in Orlando history!), something like 120,000 or 130,000 people this year.

That was our January week for a few years.

We were in WDW that week when the SB was in Jacksonville & I think it definately impacted crowds.

Between the SB & the builders convention... we changed our week.

I flew in and out of Orlando when the SuperBowl was in Jacksonville. I stayed one night at the Boardwalk and then drove to Daytona. It was the closest we could get to Jacksonville.

Miami is pretty far away, but everything in and around Miami is probably already booked. I booked my Miami hotel last December, so I have 3 rooms about 12 miles from the stadium. Now all I need is tickets
