It's just myself with dd10 and ds6 (nearly 7 at time of trip) this time. I've taken the kids by myself before (dh is an every few years kinda Disney guy) so that's not a problem. I'm debating how to get around once I'm there. Typically I use a car service to and from MCO and then a bus/taxi combo while onsite. I can certainly continue with this this year again but we have free dining and so heck yeah! I've taken advantage and have some all-over ADRS. Again, I can certainly taxi there and back but with the adrs and the length of our trip (9 days) that can really add up. Other option is to rent a car. I have a reservation with Sixt for $153 (incl taxes and fees) for the length of stay---they're offsite with a shuttle so I'd have to factor that in to my timing (not a big deal on arrival day since we have no plans but on the last day I'll probably lose about an hour or so). I'd lose the whisking away right after someone else gets my luggage and go straight to the resort but I'd gain the flexibility to go where I want when I want (I don't mind driving on vacation at all). Here's my big hiccup though--I don't get the extra insurances (am covered by my insurance) and I'm very nervous that with being there at such a busy time someone will ding the door with their door, or something like that. I can't afford the extra $300+ for all of the extra insurances that would set my mind at ease. Thankfully I still have 2 months till my trip so I have the luxury of time to decide, but wondered if anyone had any first hand accounts with driving/parking around the World during a peak time. Thank you!
