To prevent confusion, this is not a rumor but an idea of mine which I believe has potential for WDWs Space Mountain. It is about an audio-animatronic bird as a zany robot toucan I call DRIB (bird spelled backwards). He would be placed at the front of Space Mountain greeting guests as they enter the attraction. In one segment, DRIB tells the guests when traveling to intergalactic destinations, they can learn languages theyve never heard or spoken before. He demonstrates by saying hello in different languages, including animal, robot, and alien. In another segment, DRIB sings a re-themed version of the song, Heres to the Future and You, which was heard back when RCA sponsored Space Mountain. A funny moment includes him reciting intergalactic places in the universe. He becomes so carried away that he begins to talk too fast which causes him to blow one of his fuses. DRIB frantically begs to be turned off, but he regains control of himself and functions normally saying thank you with a sigh of relief.
