Last year at Universal, me and my family had no problems walking around whatsoever. No sore feet, no sore leg muscles. Then, came a nice warm December day where we figured the weather was good enough for us to ride the h2o enhanced rides. You know... the ones that leave you a little wet or completely soaked (ala Splash Mountain). Well, after walking all day in wet shoes, we all ended up with pretty severe blisters on our feet.

So, to remedy this at WDW, I figured we'd carry some light shower shoes in our backpack. They completely cover the feet and have thin rubber soles.

Does anyone know if this will be acceptable at WDW on their wetter rides?

We have seen people wear aquashoes and flip flops on Kali before. I am going to guess they don't care as long as there is some sort of protection on your feet. However I don't know what the official policy is.

We changed into flip flops before we went on Kali, I dont think they would have a problem with you wearing water shoes either. There was no way I was walking around in wet shoes. They never dry out!

We always change into water shoes before we get on Kali. Then it's a trip to the restrooms to change clothes, dry off and put the tennis shoes back on.

You can wear water shoes or flip-flops. Just have to have shoes on is all. People used to take their shoes off on Kali. They will not allow that any more.

I noticed at AK last week that the shops were selling flip-flops.

Our DD is the only one who will brave Kali (DH & I watch from the bridge and spray her as she comes by!), so we always pack a pair of flips for her. We also have her wear her swimsuit with windshorts and a tee. She takes the tee off before riding and then can dry off fairly quickly after the ride.

It's the water raft ride at Animal Kingdom. You think you get wet on Splash, some of the people leave it soaked!! If you've seen the Popeye ride at Islands of Adventure, it's similar to that.

i wear flip-flops most of the time that I'm in WDW so you shouln't have any problems with water shoes
