WDW Restaurant Gift Certificates

Can you buy gift certificates to WDW Restaurants, or is it Disney Dollars only?? What about the resort hotels like California Grill?

We want to give a friend a gift certificate to Cindy's, but a WDW resort restaurant (a nice one) would be okay too!


Tried to call WDW Dine but got impatient with the long on hold times. I'm sure the DIS won't let me down!

I'm 99% sure that it is just Disney dollars. I saw this question posted before and that is the answer that was given. Anyone else???

I just remembered to post! I ended up calling WDW dine this afternoon. They said that "general" gift certificates are available through any guest services, and that most people don't know about them because Disney Dollars are more popular. The gift certificates are good anywhere at WDW.
