I have been to the MK several times, but I have never ridden on the WDW Railroad. I was just wanting a little info. from those of you who have been on it. How long does it take to make a trip around the whole park? Do you get a good view of each area in the park? Is it enjoyable? etc. Thanks so much!!

The train has three stops: Main St., Frontierland and Toontown. I have never timed the train ride, but I would guess it takes 20 minutes. DW and I enjoy the ride and go on it each trip to WDW. Much of the trip is through a wooded area which has Indian villages, deer, rattlesnakes, etc.(not real). You can see areas of the park at times. I'm sure others will have more to add, but why don't you give it a try.

First of all you're riding on a smooth train trolley with a gentle breeze blowing past you, and you also see a little bit of the park, hear some narations and cut down on some walking time, and (for busy periods) you can avoid wading through the crowd.

One afternoon we were so tired that we rode around the park three times, dozing in and out and enjoying the cooling breeze.

It's a must-do activity. Gets me right in the mood for Disney because it makes the park seem very large, magical and diverse.

We took the train in 1998 (so I'm pressing my memory). We took it because I have always passed it by in the past. We only took it to Toontown from Main Street USA. Although I enjoyed the ride, I was disappointed that I could not see more of the park. The nice surprise was all the traditional animatronics of Indian villages along the way. It reminded me of old Wonderful World of Disney shows on Sunday nights when I was a kid. S

I absolutely love the train. It's fun and relaxing and as I ride I remember how much Walt Disney loved trains....I think of the magic he created as we circle the park. I love it!

We always take the train from the main station to Frontierland, when the park opens. We usually beat the people walking and are the first ones on Splash Mountain! This is a secret though, don't tell anyone!:D

Thanks for the responses, everyone! It sounds like something we'll enjoy on our next trip!

Yes thanks! We have not done the train in the past, and will definately do it this trip.. (Secret's safe here Dopey Sharon LOL)!!
