WDW pulls free dining offer for 2025

Regardless of the promotion(s) going forward, this is the way of the future with discounts and Disney. They will pull the sales at any time they see fit, (when they see that they have sold enough rooms with discounts, promos ect) This is a game changer for the future. Book ASAP once the deals are released and hang onto them until your sure about your plans.

This is just a change of rules in Disney's game now. Its just a different way they will be doing business now verses the way they used to do.
This isn't "the future"!
The part of your post that I bolded above is how it's been when booking Disney trips for as long as I can remember. You stalk the discounts until they drop. Then you book what you think you want ASAP. Disney's easy cancellation policy makes it zero risk, but the guest needs to pay attention and act fast for the best options. Book now. Think it through later. Get a refund or modify within the appropriate timeframe if what you booked doesn't pan out with the rest of your calendar.

I started doing these packages in 2006 and there have always been a limited number of rooms at each resort available for this. EVERYTHING that needs booking at Disney is limited. It is not an any room, any resort, never has been. It's always been limited.

Absolutely! And despite the poster’s comment that most people won’t take advantage of it, free dining has always been a hugely popular & sought after discount. People stalk websites waiting for it to be released every year. Available rooms a some resorts book within hours of release.

If you have certain dates in mind that aren’t flexible I would make a room only reservation. I would then channel some of that anger you have into monitoring the situation. There may be new offers that come up between now and then. Sometimes a decent room discount can cover your cost of dining. I fail to see how your missing out on an offer is Disney’s fault. Many many trips and I’ve never failed to see the above referenced language for special offers.
I don’t stay up to date, nor do many people, on every little thing Disney does. We read the my Disney and go about our days. It’s Disney’s fault for poor advertising.

They should just be very clear in their advertisements that people read about this. You are right they have changed their ways and it is very sad to see them go this route. Next we will have dynamic hotel pricing.

It absolutely is for a room and your second post here proved it. You can not get the "Free" dining unless you book a room at full price for minimum nights plus tickets. It is a discounted package deal that starts with the hotel, and rooms they have designated for the special package.

I started doing these packages in 2006 and there have always been a limited number of rooms at each resort available for this. EVERYTHING that needs booking at Disney is limited. It is not an any room, any resort, never has been. It's always been limited. And while it doesn't matter for sake of this conversation, other than FYI, each resorts GM decides how many rooms in each category they will release for special package booking to help reach desired occupancy. They can add or remove rooms as needed. Once those rooms they offered are gone there is no availability for the offer. Perhaps in this instance they had such a high booking of the offer resort wide they concluded it was "full" enough. Just like selling tickets to the park parties, it is sold out when they say so.

Disney has no obligation to notify every potential customer that the offer is gone any more than any other company or event or store that runs out of their "special". NONE!!! If you wanted it, you should have booked it or risk it not being available. Your opinion of how you want Disney to operate is irrelevant. Disney operation is quite common and has been going on for decades. It really sounds like you might want to look at somewhere else to vacation since from your posts Disney keeps upsetting you. :confused3
Oh the free water park perk is limited and can be revoked at any time.
The rooms are still available…..
while they don’t have the obligation to notify every single customer, they have the obligation to be truthful in advertisement and not false advertise like they have done here.

This has not always been the way. They would fill up rooms but never just Willy nilly start and stop promos randomly while still having capacity without warning.

Stop justifying Disneys new policies, they are a full profit corporation who is trying to just squeeze people for all they got. They keep testing new policies and people like you are why they suceed

I said most people won’t take advantage of it? I think you are mistaken what I was referring to was annual pass holders and most people won’t take advantage of it which is true but many will

Well, I've done this package before. And it's always been like this: there's a limited number of rooms. It always has been and always will be like this.

Furthermore, it's always the company's right to end an offer, but it's in keeping with the duty of the person who already bought it.

It's up to the consumer to decide whether or not to buy it when they see the offer. In addition, Disney always offers a 100% refund if the consumer cancels the reservation up to 30 days in advance.

This specific Disney offer has always been very popular and the rooms sell out quickly.

I get the impression that some people saw the offer, didn´t book, and now they are frustating because lost the oportunity.

Sorry for my english.

Yep that’s exactly the case. Disney did not make it clear that this offer could run out or will end quickly. It included periods of time from like June/July to December which is a long time period and they should have advertised truthfully and not deceptively.
