This isn't "the future"!Regardless of the promotion(s) going forward, this is the way of the future with discounts and Disney. They will pull the sales at any time they see fit, (when they see that they have sold enough rooms with discounts, promos ect) This is a game changer for the future. Book ASAP once the deals are released and hang onto them until your sure about your plans.
This is just a change of rules in Disney's game now. Its just a different way they will be doing business now verses the way they used to do.
The part of your post that I bolded above is how it's been when booking Disney trips for as long as I can remember. You stalk the discounts until they drop. Then you book what you think you want ASAP. Disney's easy cancellation policy makes it zero risk, but the guest needs to pay attention and act fast for the best options. Book now. Think it through later. Get a refund or modify within the appropriate timeframe if what you booked doesn't pan out with the rest of your calendar.
