WDW Park Hours for Mon., 9/6

The WDW web site is reporting the following operating hours for Monday, Sept. 6:

Magic Kingdom: 10:00 am - 8:30 PM
Epcot: 10:00 am - 9:00 PM
Disney-MGM Studios: Closed
Animal Kingdom: Closed
Typhoon Lagoon: 10:00 am - 6:00 PM
Downtown Disney: 10:00 am - 11:00 PM
Blizzard Beach: Closed
Pleasure Island: Closed
Wide World of Sports: Open for events

The web site says operating hours will return to normal for all theme park and resort areas on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Thanks for the update..Do you know if there is damage at MGM or AK, or are they just short on staff to run the parks??

Cast Members at AK are being asked to report at their normal times, they're not asking us to come in early, so I don't think it's a staffing issue. If I had to guess, I'd say they want to be completely sure the storm has passed before bringing the animals back out.

IMy thoughts differ from Eric as I know what happened with Charley...My guess is they know they are going to be short staffed so it is easier to open MK and Epcot and send CM's from the other parks to help out. I know after Charley there were a lot of CM's that could not get to the parks. There is a lot of damage and we do have CM's that come in all the way from Merritt Island (that was hit pretty hard) to Lakeland which also got it pretty good). Plus there are still alot of CM's that had extensive damage from Charley, that will probably need to stay home and tend to their property.

I wasn't here for Charley, so given that, I'd say my first post is probably wrong, and LibertyBelle's is probably right.

We (AK cast members) were told to report, and that we may be deployed to other parks/resorts.
