WDW or Universal

Universal for me and mine. Enjoy the thrill rides and the rest of the parks. Front of the Line for Hotel Guests can't be beat. Our last trip neve waited in a line more than 20 minutes.

my teens DS18, DD17 loved universal - hubby enjoyed universal too- i really ejoyed how close the parks were and FOTL- but i guess at heart my DS5 & i are WDW junkies!!

Our family loves staying at the Hard Rock Hotel, walking to Universal and IOA, and the FOTL express. Their "thrill" rides are much better in my opinion. And I'd go to Universal just to ride "Men in Black" over and over again (which we've done!).

Disney's theming and shows are better, however.

Both are a great experience! To each his own.

In fact,I was just at Universal and probably will not go back unless
I was given free tickets and even then I'd have to really think about it.....

Ditto that. BF and I were not that impressed by US when we went in Feb, although we both agree that Spiderman tops any ride in any theme park anywhere. But still, having one awesome ride doesn't make us like US better than WDW in general.

I absolutely love US, IOA, and all 4 of the WDW parks, but if hard pressed to pick, I'd go in this order:

MK
US
Epcot
MGM
AK
IOA

:)

We love both of them. But I love staying on Universal property. I love Royal Pacific Resort. It's a beautiful exotic resort. It's a walking distance to the parks. FOTL just can't be beat! It's even better than early entry at Disney.

Disney will always be my favorite, BUT, I also have found myself, loving Universal too!

I can't pick! Disney is where my heart is, but Universal is pretty cool. I LOVE Spiderman! I could ride that thing over & over & over. I loved the Mummy too. I think I would go with Universal for the rides, Disney for the magic. :)

Let's put it this way, Disney can take away all of their rides, Just give me the castle, characters & food & I'll be happy. Universal can't survive without the rides. :)

I'll let you know next year. I promised DH we could do 4 nights at WDW and 3 nights at a Universal hotel (leaning towards RPH). After 7 trips to WDW he just wants to check it out.
We are going to do TL on our transition day, so 3 days at the Universal parks. I hope we enjoy it and aren't tempted to buy extra Disney tickets and go back!

Both!!!

I give the edge to the Loews hotels over the Disney hotels and I think that they are about equal in the dining department. I like Universal best with MK close (and probably tied when everything in MK is open). IOA has gorgeous theming, some of the best anywhere IMO. The CM's at both are great and so is the transportation. Of course, WDW has more to do but FOL rules...

I give up. I'll stick to BOTH! :)

It depends on the age of kids - our are small so there is not much to do at Universal or Islands of Adventure - although we were impressed by the restaurants and choices of food.

WDW has so much more for our four-year-old to do that also keeps the attention of his one-year-old sis!

We always split our trip between the two. I love the Universal Resorts, the rides at IOA are fantastic, I love the theming of IOA, the Studios are great, I love walking to the parks, and I LOVE FOTL!!! It's a more "adult" vacation experience.

But I still get goosebumps from the Disney "magic". I remember trips with my parents when I was little, my first time on the monorail, my mouse ears that I wore until they fell apart. WDW will always have a special place in my heart, and hopefully I will be able to pass it along to my little ones, whenever they come along.

So I can't pick, please don't make me. My arrangements now work out perfectly.

can't split em myself,i love Epcot its my fav but for the experience US is awesome.i think the folk who work at disney parks are the politest and most helpful.i also think that FOTL is a fantastic bonus when staying at universal hotels, much better than anything disney offers and well worth the extra money when you consider saving half a day not standing in line.so it has to be......

Epcot for me:p

Husband and I are defnitely Universal people. He favors the studios and I like IOA, but they are both tops in our book! We went to MK for the first time last month and really have no interest in ever going back. I don't think my husband would go back even if it was completely free. We are going to try MGM when we are there in October. We will probably try AK once EE is open after 2006. Neither of us have an interest in Epcot.

For us it's WDW. Partially because my husband is prone to motion sickness, and WDW offers more tame rides then Universal. (Haven't been to IOA yet.)

In order:

MK
Epcot
Disney/MGM Studios
AK
US
IOA

I enjoy the US parks, but the service and guest interaction is always horrible when I go...i would never pay to go there again...luckily i get free tickets all the time, so if I want to i can go.

We were WDW people for a long time. Lately though, we having great impressions of USF/IOA.

My kids love fast, thrilling, fun rides. The rides fit that bill at USF/IOA. The found most rides at WDW BORING!

I love the FOTL perk onsite. I have not experienced the joy of that yet, but will soon.

Some rides are fantastic, like Spiderman, Hulk and MIB. My DH can ride MIB for about an hour straight. We've done it too! (thats about 12-15 straight rides)

My kids love the characters at either place. Yes, Olive Oyl can't compare to Snow White. But Spiderman ranks over Mickey Mouse in our house.

The annual pass rate at USF is so low.. only $159 per person You would neve rsee that at WDW!
