WDW or Universal Studio?

i know lots of teens don't like EPCOT, but my kids love it, including innoventions......
that's why it's impossible to predict what any one kid will or won't like.....my son adores rock and roller coaster at MGM and rode it at least 30 times this past summer.....on the other hand, the coasters at IOA didn't do a thing for him.....he says the ones at CP are much better (i suppose it must be that if there's no theming he makes a straight comparison of coaster attributes).....having been banned from all coasters by my doctor, i can't add an opinion......the last coaster i rode was that psycho one at CP.....that goes so high in the air i was making bargains with god the entire climb.....oh..the magnum 2000.....geez.......

most people like spiderman at IOA, but my kids didn't like that one either......my motion sickness problem forced me to keep my eyes closed the whole time so i can't really say one way or the other.....jurassic park was nice but i like splash mountain better (my favorite ride in all WDW).....
and the log flume (dudley dooright i think it's called) at IOA was just a straighforward log flume ....although fun for what it was, it lacked in the theming department (as i said, splash mountain is all of our favorite at WDW because of the theming......followed by tower of terror, also because of the theming)....

of course, for someone who spends 3 weeks every summer at WDW, 4 days doesn't sound like enough time to visit one park let alone 6....we like to relax and take a very slow liesurely pace when we're at WDW.......we never stay in the parks past 2 in the afternoon, usually leaving by noon each day.....it's too tiring and way too hot in mid-summer......and we like all the little things....like the diamond horseshoe revue.....the slow and easy things......just sitting on a bench to have a drink and watch what's happening around us....(we're planning on an entire week at tokyo disneyland/disneysea this summer, so you can get the idea that we like to take things slow and easy......after leaving WDW this past summer, we flew to LA for 5 days at disneyland/DCA.....also at a very nice slow liesurely pace....)

i should add that we also didn't like sea world in orlando....which probably makes us unique in all the planet (i don't think i've ever met anyone who didn't like sea world).....on the other hand we did enjoy discovery cove...

Didn't think we had much in common but this we do. I do not like or support Sea World at all, mainly because I do not like to see marine mammals in captivity forced to eat only when they perform.
Many people see it as a cute thing to keep marine mammals in chlorinated tanks but they aren't aware of the effects of captivity on the poor things and how it reduces their lifespan. To me, it is a brutality but understand that many love that kind of entertainment perhaps out of ignorance.

You want to keep animals captive for exhibits, give them a dignified environment where they can hide if they wish, be amused when they feel the need to, feed them regardless of whether they perform a circusy show or not and keep their environment in captivity as close to their natural one as possible. Do it with dignity.

Just another person that does not like Sea World, perhaps for different reasons...

actually, that's the exact reason we didn't like it...
my kids were deeply disturbed by it in fact (we'd never been to any of the sea worlds before our visit to the one in orlando)....

it's also the reason we're not totally enamored of discovery cove, although we did enjoy it more than sea world....it's a well run operation that seems to put the welfare of the dolphins first...at least it seemed that way when we were there,....

but still we never planned on going back.....we live by a sea where dolphins live naturally.....there is a dolphin place there,...where the dolphins are studied....but the dolphins are free to come and go as they please (of course they tend to stay because they love human interaction)...
and they can play with the trainers if they want to (they get fish either way)....
you can scuba dive or swim with them....that is, you can scuba dive and swim in the area where they are and the dolphins sometimes come up to the divers but sometimes they don't....it's up to the dolphin.....it's interesting to watch them......they almost always come up to children.....and also to mentally and physically handicapped adults....

anyway....the reason we didn't like sea world was the reason you gave...
