Good morning (mods, I don't know if this is the right forum, so feel free to move if need be!)

I am wondering if there is such a service, a disney nanny. I am ideally looking for the same person to accompany my family over the course of a trip. Ideally they would be a local with an AP already.

(feeling like I have to justify as I might get attacked....DH and I would love to ride some rides together, and using rider swap just isn't the same. We have been planning an adult's only trip, but I don't want to leave the kids, and I'm still nursing, so that's not happening anytime soon, so trying to find the best of both worlds!)

I already know about kids night out, and similar babysitting services. They do not guarantee the same babysitter for the course of your stay, nor do they have AP's.

Not sure.

I live in Tampa and there is a Nanny service called "Nannies Who Care". You may want to call them and give them your requirements to see if they can help or know of another service in Orlando.

We have used kids night out for a night out but they also can provide someone for during the day. However it's not cheap.

Kids Nite Out provides in-room and in-park sitters for about $20/hr. You'll be required to pay for their park tickets and, if they'll be with you for 8+ hours, a meal as well.

A service provided by Disney World, and you'd have to pay for a ticket for them?? That seems kinda crazy. I would understand if you were hiring someone outside of Disney, but this is their own service.

I don't think it's a WDW service - I think WDW recommends them.

Kids Nite Out is a private company - they have branches in several cities across the country. Not affiliated with WDW except as a "preferred' vendor.

As others have stated KNO is a childcare company recommended by Disney, not provided by them. Disney does offer childcare in the form of their activity centers but those have limited operating hours, don't offer in-room or in-park care, and cost $11.50/hr per child.

I was a nanny for a family during college and went to WDW with them. They paid all of my expenses (air, food, hotel and tickets). I had my "own time" for a few hours per day. I already had a relationship with their kids so it made traveling easier on everyone. Their was no separation anxiety for the kids since they knew me and the parents didn't hesitate leaving.

It may have cost them a bit more (not sure though because "renting' a nanny is really expensive) but they always had an extra pair of hands to help with the kids and the peace of mind when they left that the kids where in good hands.

A friend of mine did this for a family she nannies for. As PP said, all her expenses were paid, she also got a small salary and a room at the resort for her and the kid (one girl age 5).

If cost is an issue, maybe just do a night or two with the babysitting service at the resort. That way you and your DH can hang out together a few times. If cost isn't an issue, try and find someone you know and trust, and bring them with you! Hope you have a great trip! :goodvibes

I brought my nieces (each one time) when they were 16 to help with DD and so they could see disney. I didn't pay them but i did pay for their plane ticket, park ticket, all meals and some souvenirs. They are family though and never would have seen disney unless it was with me. Perhaps you have a family member like that?
