Meet the Disney World moms panel, apply for next year’s group

Next month, guests at Epcot can meet members of the Walt Disney World Moms Panel. This free event is open to all guests but does require theme-park admission. Panelists will greet guests at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Odyssey.

To reserve a spot for yourself (and up to five additional friends or family members), click here. Not all requests can be accommodated, but if you are selected, you will receive a confirmation email by the week of Sept.17.

Beginning at 9 a.m. ET Sept. 13, Disney World will begin accepting applications for the 2011 WDW Moms Panel.

Disney describes the panel as “an online forum of vacation advisors made up of everyday people who will answer questions and offer advice to families in the process of planning a trip to Walt Disney World.”

Participants must:

** Be 18 years or older.

** Have access to a computer and an Internet connection.

** Be familiar with Walt Disney World® Resort and have visited at least once in the last 12 months.

** Be fluent in the English language.

** Complete at least twenty-five written responses per week.

** Provide your opinions and feedback.

** Submit an autobiography and personal photo and/or video to be posted online.

** Be available to travel to Walt Disney World on Dec. 10-13, 2010

** Be willing to participate for up to 24 months.

** Not be current employees of The Walt Disney Company or any of its subsidiaries or live with anyone who is.

** Not be currently employed in the travel or theme park industries.

See complete rules here. Those chosen to be panelists will receive a trip to Walt Disney World to participate in training.

Can your upcoming trip count for being in the 12 months?

I don't think so. It says that they are taking applications starting in Sept. Plus the whole Not Being A Mom thing might get in the way. And not being a womancould hurt too. But I have heard there was 1 man on that council. And I don't want to steal his thunder.
