a lot more separated. On listening to the podcast as they discussed Main street at Disneyland, I realized that WDW's main street lost that feeling over the years.

We used to have a Magic shop, a movie theater where old cartoons played, as well as a street full of flowers to take pictures on. They expanded the emporium, put Art of Disney in the movie theater (you can still see the cartoons). The flower area has been built over and consigned to the ages.

I still enjoy Main Street and hope to visit Disneyland's eventually. I know things have to change but I miss these areas that added charm.

I will step off my soapbox and declare myself a grumpy WDW fan who doesn't like change either.

I miss the charms of old Main Street as well. I miss the Hallmark store. I also miss the flowers. The barber shop used to be there on Center Street before they moved it to the Square.

Ii also wish they'd sell more unique merchandise.

I miss the old penny arcade. I remember going in there as a kid in the 80's. You could play the contemporary video games and pinball machines as well as the games that my father played when he was a boy.

Did there used to be a "kitchen" shop on Main Street? I remember a shop where they sold all kinds of Disney kitchen items and Disney plates, utensils and glasses. I can remember the shop clearly and am pretty sure it was on Main Street, but I'm not positive.

Yes, there was. I remember always wanting to buy the toaster in there lol. The items sold in that shop are now over by the Haunted Mansion.

I believe there once was a candle shop but it is vague memory at best and I can't verify it.

Also I miss having the Walt Disney Story on Main Street

It's still there- on the right as you walk toward the Castle.
