Saturday was, at last, our MGM day- Chris's home turf. He said we had to go on that Saturday because that was the day he had told all his character friends that we'd be there. I love MGM. It's my second favorite park after MK, and the one I hope to work at when I return on the college program next summer because it's closest to the theatre related things I want to do.

We spotted a whole group of characters out in the main courtyard near the Great Movie Ride- Alice, Jasmine, Megara, Belle, and Cruella. All had long lines. We decided to get in Cruella's line because it was the shortest, plus Cruella is a good friend of Chris's. As we approached her, she gave Chris a look, and in character exclaimed with a New Yorkish accent "Where have you been??" She then proceeded to explain that she was in the wrong size dress and that basically the whole department was falling apart without him. lol. (why is it that Cruella at the parks sometimes has a NY accent and other times has a British accent? hehe. The movie takes place in London.)

Then Cruella did something I didn't expect. She called all the other face characters, even though they each had their own lines, to come over to us for a group shot! (All of them expect maybe Alice knew Chris) So now, I have a picture of me with 5 Disney girls. But I couldn't fully enjoy the magical moment because I felt so guilty! I could just imagine all the people waiting in line wondering why we got special treatment. Please don't ask the characters to group up like that- they're really not supposed to.

Belle was another good friend. Chris has obviously told her about me because when we went to meet her, she told me she had to hear me sing. I didn't want to hold back the line though since the greeter had just annouced that the characters had only 5 minutes left, but I promised we'd come visit her again later that day and I'd sing for her.

We did the animation tour, the Hunchback show, Muppets, and stuff that day. Of course, we *had* to see Beauty and the Beast on stage even though I've seen it several times. I swear I almost cry every time I see it- not because of the show itself, but because I long to be on stage as Belle! I'd give anything for the chance...

We had excellent seats for the Stars and Moter Cars parade- right in front of the ABC theatre. We had ice cream while we waited. The parade is wonderful! I love how it includes a lot of lesser seen characters. I got some great close-ups of the floats. Chris and I were both running low on film, so we took turns getting shots of each car. lol. I love how the streetmosphere characters annouce each car, giving you a slightly different experience depending on which character is announcing for your segment of the audience.

We later ran into Belle again, and I had my chance to sing for her. I did a few lines from the reprise of "Belle" which she just loved. I also had the chance to sing for Mary Poppins who enjoyed it as well.

That evening, we met up with Bruce Metcalf and his wife who treated us to dinner at the Brown Derby. That was great fun and a very enjoyable meal as well as company. I tried some new foods like a Cobb salad which was surprising good even though it had some ingrediants that I don't normally like. I also had a yummy Thai noodle dish. Chris and I split a white chocolate cheese cake. It was topped with a soceror Mickey hat. We at first thought it was plastic, but when Chris started playing with it, we discovered it was actually white chocolate! lol.

We left the park around the time Fantasmic was starting, so the streets were pretty empty. As we exited, we could see the Illuminations fireworks going off over across the lake at Epcot and stopped to watch.

we could do Beauty and the beast a zillion times and also hunchback......it sounds like you had an awesome time......thanks again

I hope your dream does come true some day AB:)

Thanks for sharing!
