Chris and I decided to make that Thursday a slow day. Instead of him arriving at my hotel in the morning and then heading to the parks, Chris and his father picked me up and took me back to their house to hang out for the afternoon. It was nice to relax for a day, and I was also able to check my email. It was so funny accessing the internet through the same computer where Chris has spent countless hours chatting with me online while I've been at home or in my dorm.

Later in the afternoon, we decided to go to the mall. I heard about a very awesome Disney Store sale from the DIS and had to take a look. I almost bought a doll on sale, but decided it'd make more sense to wait until I got home so I wouldn't have to lug her on the plane.

In the department stores, I wanted to model pretty dresses for Chris (not that he minded! lol), so we looked around at prom stuff for a while. I tried on a really beautiful sparkly blue dress with spagetti straps- a style that usually looks awful on me- and I fell in love with it! It actually fit me right! It was like a 50s prom dress, especially since I had my hair in a high ponytail. Chris and I joked that I was Patty Simcox from Grease. I would've bought it if it were cheap but it was $110. Forget it! I didn't have a good excuse to buy a fancy dress anyway.

That evening we had take-out Chinese and watched Beauty and the Beast which I had brought from home. It a favorite of both of ours.

Ok, enough boring you with the details of our non-Disney day. hehe.

The next day, I wanted to go horseback-riding. I had been begging to go even before I arrived in Florida. Chris had never been on a horse before so I had to talk him into it. He was scared! I assured him that I've been riding since I was 8 and had only fallen once. While we were signing up for the ride, I suddenly realized that it was that day I was supposed to recheck in to my room (I had 2 seperate reservations, remember). Luckily, the CM at Fort Wilderness was really nice and called the All Stars front desk for me so there was no problem.

The ride was very nice, though very tame for an experienced rider like myself. I had flashbacks to the horseback riding summer camp I went to. That camp had taught me to always wear a helmet, so I asked for one. I later felt very silly because Chris and I were the only ones wearing them! Not even the guides had them. Oh well. On the trail, I couldn't help singing a buncha songs from Oklahoma. I was the second in line after the guide, and she really enjoyed my singing. We had a very pleasant conversation as well. Chris and I also had a nice conversation with 2 guys as we waited for our horses before the trail ride began.

After the ride, we hitched a bus to Downtown Disney and decided to spend the rest of the time exploring the shops and such. I love the World of Disney store. I bought a necklace that was half off- a ceramic Mickey shape with Mickey painted on one ear, Minnie on the other, and my name in the middle. We were hungry, so we each had an itailian pretzel at a nearby stand. Yum! We explored the other side of Downtown Disney as well, getting yummy Jelly Bellies at the Candy Cauldron.

That evening, we were supposed to meet his parents at the Grand Floridian. They were treating us to dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The buses took forever to get there! We met them about 10 minutes late even though we had boarded the bus nearly an hour before. Oh well. It was my first time at 1900 Park Fare. The buffet there is yuuuummmmmy! I even liked their cream of mushroom soup, and I don't care for mushrooms. There was a huge selection of desserts to choose from. Winnie the Pooh characters were there, not my first choice for characters to dine with, but we had fun with them. Tigger is my favorite to interact with.

Sounds like you are still having a great time!
