Hi fellow Canadians! This is my first post. I love all of the great info found here...My DH and I are going to the World with our kids (DS 13, DD 10) for March break. We're going from Mar 12th -24th (one week is never enough for us!!, well, me!!!). We are from Niagara and are flying out of Buffalo. We still haven't booked our return flights as we are waiting for the prices to come down a bit :rolleyes1 ...

Anyone else from Niagara going in March? Would love to hear from you... Anyone find a good deal on a car?

We are booked at ASSp but are thinking about switching to a pool home for the last five days. My husband wants more room and privacy, but I love staying in the middle of the magic. We tried to get CBR but it was already booked back in Nov!

I can certainly see myself becoming addicted to this!!!:goodvibes

Mar 2007 -POP (12 days)
Oct 2003 -ASM (10 days)

Hi there ... Welcome to the DIS ! :goodvibes

Keep checking Southwest several times a day ... I just plunked in dates the other day for my friend that's going from March 10th to the 20th, and she could have got $59pp each way.

And always try for the number of flights you need, but if they don't give you the price you want, change it to a lower number of passengers ... you might be able to get a couple of flights at a really good deal, and could either take the higher price for the remaining ones you need, or hold out for the rest. That's what I did a couple of weeks ago ... got 2 of the 4 flights on the Sat for $59, Sunday they were $119, and Monday morning, got the remaining 2 for the $59 again. :)

Happy Planning!

You should seriously consider the vacation house for at least part of your stay. We stayed at POP for 14 nights last July and it became very crowded, very fast. We are also a family of 4 (kids are 9 and 18). I would have never considered staying off site but I probably will in future if we are staying more than 5 or 6 nights. I now think that a proper kitchen is a must for a longer vacation. Even if you just plan on making breakfast and a few sandwiches.

Enjoy you winter break.....I wish I could go too!

Hi. We are going March 14 to 22nd. I booked our car with Expedia.ca. Dollar at MCO.. The rate was quite a lot lower then through the Travel agent or the car rental sites. We went last March and there was alot of Canadians!

Thanks for the SW tips!

I am not from Niagara but by the sounds of it I will be taking my niece to Disney World from March 19 - 26.

It will be my niece's first time to the world, and I am so excited to be the one taking her there.

Hi!! We're going the last week of March. Sorry we'll just miss you.

I'm so excited, never been in the spring!!!!

We will be there also - only 10 days for us (you are right - a week is not enough). We will be at SSR (I rented a DVC's points).

We have stayed at many homes in the Disney area. I can assist you with finding homes that are 5 minutes from the park. Some homes say they are 10 minutes, but you have to travel on Hwy 27, hwy 4 or 192 for a distance which can take FOREVER. But if I were you I would do the home first and save Disney for the end.....it is a bit of a let down leaving property.....we usually add a few nights to the end of our trip to go on property.
