we are scheduled for POFQ from sept 10-19.m I know thats when 1 of the bigger Hurricanes hit last year. My question is this: the day before and day after the Hurricane hit , were the parks that empty that you were able to get 2 days worth of attractions/shows into that 1 day? I know that it is usually very slow there on top of that. I quess what I'm really asking is it worth risking losing a day(s) due to huricane/tropical storm to still deal with the lower crowds.

Hi!
We were at POFQ last year Sept 24 to the 27th. The parks were empty. We were able to ride Space Mountain twice without having to get back in line. The longest wait for any ride was about 10 min.Usually we just walked on. The storm hit Sat. nite I think they closed the parks around 7:00. Reopened on Mon. Morning. We were so tired by Sat nite we did not care. Spent Sunday recuperating. On the days the parks were open we got our moneys worth. We visited 3 parks in 1 day.I was travelling with DD(9) and DS(11).Going again this year! :umbrella: or :sunny:

I was there for Jeanne. The parks were wonderfully unfilled with people. We went on Kali four times in a row, Safari ride numerous times-the drivers each went real slow and gave us more time to snap pictures. The restaurants were almost empty-at Tusker house we found a table in under two minutes.

The day after was a little bit more filled but no where near capacity. All rides were ten minutes or less with most being walk on. The only exception was Peter Pan and Dumbo each ride had at least an hour wait.

Please don't worry about hurricanes. Disney does a wonderful job protecting their guests. Disney did such a good job and made me feel so safe I didn't worry about anything.

We were there around September 9th last year, right when Ivan was due to hit (thankfully it never made it there). We felt like we had the parks to ourselves all week. It was soooo nice! We were able to go on many rides several times in a row, and WL was very uncrowded. It was our best trip ever to WDW.
