I am completely new to this disboards.com. I from Arizona and go to DL at least twice a year. I have only been to WDW for a 2 day quick trip, which I ran around trying to see everything I could (of course I didn't get to see much considering). Anyhow, this December my boyfriend and I are traveling to Orlando for two weeks (Dec 19th through Jan 2nd). We will spend at least 7 of those days at the WDW parks. I need some help from anyone who has spent time at the WDW area during this time.

What are the parks like during this time?
Is Christmas Day worth spending at the MK?
What about New Years at WDW?
Are the parks less crowded after Christmas or before Christmas?
Any other suggestions of things I should check out? Places to eat? Shopping? Hotels? Etc?

Thanks so much!!!

I just wanted to say welcome to Disboards!! You can't miss going to Down Town Disney to shop. Also at DTD I'd suggest trying Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck express for a quick bit.....wonderful food for counter service meals!! Will you be using the dinning plan or paying out of pocket for your meals? If you go to allearsnet you can see menus for restaurants. We LOVE the Kona Cafe which is at the Poly. Super food and right at the monorail, so quick access. If youplan to eat at sit down restaurant, you need to make your reservations NOW!!!!!!!! Even doing them today, you will find it very hard to get into the more popular places to eat. We to will be there in Dec this year...first time going that time of year, but we've been a million times before. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask on this board. People are great!!Again welcome!!princess:

Thanks for the welcome! I am writing this stuff down and making sure I hit your suggested places. Thank you! I am very familiar with my favorite sit down restaurants at DL. Any great suggestions to some sit down restaurants at WDW or at DTD?

We arrived at WDW early and went to DTD today. We ate at the Earl of Sandwich -- I got the Veggie sandwich, it was to die for!!! We took in the Halloween party tonight too!!! All rides were a 5 min wait!!! :thumbsup2
