WDW Going Retro!

If not Wonders of Life . . . at least Goofy About Health! I thought they blended the clips quite skillfully!

Didn't there used to be a shop on Main Street that sold only candles ?

I mean, you'd walk in and there would be *thousands* of candles everywhere and the most incredible aroma would fill your nostrils....

Or am I thinking of DL ?

:confused3

Bring back Figment.
I miss the cold fried chicken at Aunt Polly's.
I definatly miss the free roaming characters. You never knew when you would run into someone.
There use to be more specialty merchandise.
River Country would take alot of work but it is still there, would be nice to see it redone.

Bringing back Captain EO and the Main Street Electrical Parade is a good start. Let's see if the Disney execs can see that bringing back memories brings back more people.

the castle cake was hideous! Bring back the Pirate and Princess Parties- It was awesome! I had never been to a party- My sister said it was even better than the Christmas and the Halloween Parties!

I would like to see the old Mickey Bars back; the ones with the chocolate only on the ears and the chocolate and vanilla ice cream forming the face. The current ones are great, but they are just a Dove bar with ears.

I miss those kiosks where you could talk to an agent via video and make your dining reservations! And there was always availability back then too!

Fruit juice drinks inside the containers that look like fruits like grapes and oranges.

"If You Had Wings"

You DO have wings ! You CAN do ALL These things ! Eastern...The Wings of man.... ;)

The OLD Tiki Room

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

The Main Street Magic Shop

The Main Street Penny Arcade

Full Service Lunch at Aunt Polly's on TSI

Clam chowder in bread bowls in LS....

The Old Kitchen Shop in LS that had *fabulous* kitchen supplies and dishes

River Country

The Old Luau at The Poly that was held outside on the "beach". (That one goes WAAAAY back :rotfl: )

You brought up a point about Main Street I wanted to make. The magic shop and penny arcade had character. I was sad the day they connected all those old shops into the Emporium that spans the city block.

Oh yeah....

Horizons in Epcot

Food Rocks ! '' ''

The Original Journey Through Imagination....

:cloud9:

Don't forget World of Motion! Gary Owens was an awesome narrator. Walter Cronkite did the "serious" narration for Spaceship Earth, and Gary was the comic relief on World of Motion! The speed tunnels were fun, too.

Tapestry of Dreams.

Wow, that cake castle was awful!

I preferred it as Tapestry of Nations. Almost the same parade, but I miss seeing the Sage of Time start the parade! They removed his presence when they did the dream wishing thing. And don't get me started on the Pepto pink cake. I didn't mind it much because I knew it was only temporary!

And I would bring up FOOD, of course! ;)

Bring back handwiches and the good ol' fashioned buffeteria system! Bring back that Hunchback/Hercules/whatever movie to promote ice cream bar. When we were at the Chicago Doorway to Dreams meet, Laurie the DVC guide mentioned that ice cream bar and I totally agreed. It was a base of chocolate ice cream on a stick, with a layer of gooey caramel on one side, covered in the same chocolate ganache coating the Mickey bars. It rocked.

I think that's a Magnum Double Bar! I get those whenever I'm in Europe. I wish they had them here!

Oh this is making me want to upload my old photo albums! (but then you would see pictures of me at 4, 8, 12 and 16... not something I am currently willing to do!)

I hated the cake castle and the extras on the Epcot's Spaceship Earth! I also hate the Hat at DHS, but that's because it breaks up sight lines!

I wish they'd bring back Toad and the skyway.

I also wish the price would go back a couple of years, but I doubt that will happen! :rotfl:

I miss the character roaming around freely, like when I was a kid. I understand the need, but I do not like the fact that most character interactions are in a queue-based system.

That is the one thing I missed the most... I could not put my finger on what was missing (besides the obvious 20,000 leagues and the skyway) there was a real charm about just bumping into a character as you turned a corner.

Speaking of retro, I have to brag about what my wife gave me for Xmas:
