That's part of the "experience" of going to WDW. People watching.

FYI, I just bought new sneaks the other day but by the time I go to WDW in Oct, they won't be as bright as shining star.

I am always amazed at what people wear to the parks too. I think you are right about the two piece bathing suits. What is up with that??

The good thing is I usually walk around and end up thinking, "hey, I don't look as bad as I think I do!!"

A favorite pastime of a group of friends and myself is to grab a bench at MGM and play "fashion police". We can amuse ourselves for hours!

"That color only belongs on traffic cones!"

We always bought new tennis shoes before visiting WDW. In fact, we brought two new pairs. I can't tell you what a difference it makes wearing new tennis shoes where the support hasn't been beaten down, to wearing old worn down shoes. We never had a problem with the tennis shoes hurting our feet, but we always bought really good shoes. After a day of walking around a park, we'd switch to the other pair. It feels really good to put your feet into cool shoes!

In May there were many women wearing bikini tops in the Parks. Most bras cover more than bikini tops. The Parks aren't the beach "ladies".

Men in Speedos, few of you really look good in them. As for tank tops, there again, if you aren't toned up a bit in the arms it doesn't look as good as a nice, cool T-shirt.

This thread is SOOO funny. I only wear old tennis shoes to the parks. . .that's why I keep my old ones instead of throwing them away. I know I'm going to get sweaty and my shoes are going to get dirty---I don't want to ruin a good pair of tennies that I spent $xx.xx on for just a few days of use .
I also don't care at all for the bathing-suit-in-the-parks fashion statement

I am a larger size woman but I always want my body to be completely covered. I don't want my flab hanging out. I usually wear a nice t-shirt and jeans to the parks along with my new tennis shoes.

Well... I was in line behind a muscle man at ET who was wearing a muscle shirt. The only problem was he had 5 o-clock stubble from where he shaved his back. EEEEW!!!!

I think bikini tops and shorts are fine for amusement parks. Especially ones with a lot of water rides like IOA. Disney does not really have those. I am surprised to hear there are some men who do not like them.
Speedos are for professional swimmers only.
Tank tops for men are over abused, they need to be left for the young studs who trim their pit hair.
Theme parks are about the only place I wear sneakers, except for working out, so I may be there in new ones as well. Now I usually wear flip flops so they can breathe.
No one should have their thong showing. And I completely agree about the stomach rolls for the ladies, no matter how old you are.

My family and I always buy a new pair of shoes AND new clothes before going to Disney. I guess we just figure with all those pictures we'll be taking down there we want to look good for them? hehe.

I am not sure WHAT I saw today and thankfully it wasn't at WDW.
I am almost thinking it was a poorly done transexual; kind of a carricature of a woman with a face that looked like fifty miles of bad road, adam's apple, a flouncy miniskirt with matching undies. Yes I could see the undies and a huge area of pigmentation that made one wonder if it was a depiliatory agent that cause permanent damage. The string strapped top with the bra straps showing. Since when are bra straps a fashion accessory??

I gotta say, I feel bad for Speedo. They are making some nice full coverage, baggy, board shorts type swim trunks these days, but my boys will not wear even a tee shirt that says Speedo.

I also LOVE to people watch, everywhere- not just WDW. I think the strangest part of it all is that someone told that person that they should 'Definitely wear that because it looks so good on you.' Don't these people have friends and family who love them

OK, I just went and looked at badshoe.com and now I have an additional gripe. LADIES! If you are going to wear sandals, PLEASE make sure your feet look presentable. UGH! I almost threw up at some of the unpolished, yellow, cracked toe nails- YUCK! I am not a foot person.

There's one effect that hasn't been mentioned so far on this thread. We always call it 'Butt eats shorts' It occurs when people of larger sizes wear shorts, which aren't exactly the right size. The inner part of the shorts then starts 'crawling' up the thigh over the day. It always makes a funny picture, because on the outside of the leg the shorts are -say- 5 inches above the knee, but on the inside they are 10 or more inches from the knee - Sometimes even disappearing
