"Brer" (as in Brer Fox, and Brer Rabbit, two of the characters you'll find on Splash Mountain) is an way of saying "Br'er", which is an abbreviation for "Brother". Brother and Sister are Christian terms of kinship especially prevalent in the South. This ride is based on the 1946 Disney film, "Song of the South."

Inside Disneyland's Matterhorn ride, there's a basketball court!

If the CM's at POTC don't say good-night to George (an electrician who died while working in POTC), wierd things happen the next day. Also, while on POTC, if you say George's name 3x, or say George isn't real, wierd things happen. I've had my boat stop after we all said this. Don't know how coincidental that is, though.

Sid Caesar's face is on the one pirate who is trying to lure the dog w/the keys in the jail scene. One of the imagineers liked Sid and used his likeness! Also, in POTC, As you're going under the bridge into the jail scene, there's a pirate sitting on the bridge with his leg hanging down. If you look closely you can see that the bottom of his foot is dirty and that his leg is hairy.

I just read the entire thread whew! Here is my addition

There are no bathrooms in liberty square at the MK! They wanted liberty sqaure to be authentic to the early colnial times and back then people would dump thier "waste" into the street. Notice there are no curbs so the "waste" could be swept to the center of the street. The closest bathrooms are located in the Columbia Harbor House on the second floor on the Fantasyland side.

The WDW parks have only been closed 2 times, once for Hurricane Floyd and September 11. Epcot has been closed by itself for one day as well, July 17,2002(was actually there that day).

More than this - they were closed for Hurricane Jeanne when we were stuck there last October.... Jeanne came in on Saturday and they shut down WDW at like 5 or 6pm - it was closed Sunday - believe it reopened Monday or Tuesday - on the same day as the Universal twins...

Also, other hidden Minnies on Magic. Check out the stair case in the main lobby. I do not know about Wonder, I haven't traveled on it yet.

Did you know that garbage cans are placed every 22 steps in the MK. Research was done and found that every 23 steps a person will need to throw some kind of trash away so Disney placed garbage cans every 22 steps to eliminate littering.

I heard that the 22 or 23 steps was the number of steps Walt took while eating a hot dog and that was why the cans are that far apart, so he could throw away the hot dog wrapper.

I heard it took 26 steps for a person to want to get rid of a wrapper/garbage. And that Disney has recepticals just for that reason. Very smart when you are looking at all them time ($$$) spent on house/mousekeeping and refusing the parks.

We actually were checking into the Contemporary that day. We were driving through the resort and there were signs lit up that Epcot was closed!!
