WDW Epcot Music

Visited WDW first the first time wouth my family. Had a great time, if only for four days.

I'm trying to find some of the general music that was being played in EPCOT. Some of the songs reminded me of the type of music played in "Riverdance",
high powered celtic, "fiddles" as well as some high powered African style music.

We bought the Illuminations CD and got the Parade CD, neither of which contain the music I enjoyed.

Also enjoyed the music being played for the fountain display at Epcot.

Questions:

1) Is there a place where I can "listen" to some of the WDW CD's before buying and
2) Does anyone know where I can get the general background music from Epcot or the fountain music?

Are you talking about the music they play right before the start of Illuminations?

I asked this question a while ago, and people here helped me out- its by a group called Cusco. If you search them on CDNOW, you can hear the samples - and you will recognize a few of them from Epcot!

As for the fountain music- I dont know if you can buy it, but if you serach the web for Epcot sites like Intercot and so on, there will be samples you can download.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, the music just before IllumiNations is just some of what I'm looking for. I'll check out CUSCO on CDNOW. I'll try your other suggestions for the fountain music.

Amazon.com usually has sound clips of the CDs as well.

If you're looking for Epcot area music The Sound Of Magic website is a pretty good source.

I love that music! I love nighttime at the World Showcase! I was just there 3 days ago, and I miss it! I really need to just move in there.

I really loved that music too! Very uplifting and my two boys (13 and 11) were so into all of the sites and sounds of World Showcase and Illumi-Nations, that I thought that I'd get the music that was played there. The music that really got me going was the "riverdance-like" just before the IllumiNations show got underway. Any idea who the artists were? I received a reply stating that the group "Cusco" has some of their work played before the IllumiNations program. Just trying to find other artists names.

jkpalmer, I know exactly which song you mean....I've been asking around at Epcot for quite some time trying to find out what it is (with no luck ) I like it so much, the last time I was there, I stood next to a speaker in Japan and turned on my video camera to record it

This has a fairly comprehensive list of the music played during IllumiNations but if you look further you'll find a few references to pre-show music. I found what I was looking for !!
