WDW/DCL Western Caribbean Honeymoon Extravaganza!! DONE!!! - PG 51!!

Nikki, you'd have fun with me today if you were here. Well if you are organized like me. I am slowly putting things in boxes for when I move out next year.

Well I put books in boxes and couldn't find some. So I bought a label maker and printing out the titles of the books to know which is where lol

I'm pathetic lol

I am enjoying the TR - thank you . I too loved your wedding, very beautiful and it is so refreshing to see a bride do a theme of her "life's love" instead of the same old - same old... congrats!

We are taking a family cruise 9/12 and my DH and I are staying over at Boardwalk for 5 days - my DH's first trip to WDW! My lovely sister ibouncetoo aka Jackie is the DIS / WDW/ CRUISE crazy lady and in her infinite wisdom booked an ADR at Chef's and after seeing that French Onion Soup and Mac N Cheese - I'm glad to say not only is she ONE SMART lady - but she knows me well!

Keep the TR coming - and p.s. love the cat. We are big animal people and our "kids" are our pets - or our pets are our "kids"... you get it!

Thanks for sharing and I'll have my eye open for any other same ADR's you had that will be be partaking!:yay:

My wife Sheri's FAVORITE...whenever "Epcot" and "France" are mentioned to her, the subject always seems to gravitate to the french onion soup!

I will DEFINITELY be eating that soup again in the future!

Your lunch at Chefs looks yummy! Isn't that mac and cheese to die for?! :cloud9:

How neat that you recognized Amilie from the Adventurer's Club, I wish I had had a chance to go there. :guilty:

That mac and cheese was delicious but really heavy, I barely ate half of it...especially after that cheesy soup!

How fun that you got to see Daisy and Marie! We haven't seen them on our trips. Maybe next time...

I'm so glad someone else understands how important it is to stick to The Plan! LOL It's nice to know there are other people like me in the world. :goodvibes

Love all of your pictures -- so much fun! I love that you guys take fun pictures...I need to get DH to loosen up and have some fun in our pictures! The only thing he hates worse than having his picture taken is shopping...and I like to do lots of both at WDW!

The pictures from your lunch at Chefs de France...I'm going to show those to my Mom and see if they want to eat there when we go in October -- I think she would love it!

Wonderful, wonderful TR, Nikki and Tom!

Thanks! :thumbsup2 Yes...gotta have the PLAN! Definitely try to get an ADR for France. I highly recommend it.

I love this!! :lmao:

:thumbsup2

Your lunch at Chefs de France looks so yummy. I am sad that we cancelled ours. But I was feeling really ill.

There's always a next time.

;) That stinks! Next time.

It seems you weren't feeling the increase in lateral forces.

Sure am!

Love the raincoats!!!

Thanks!

How was the lobster bisque? - I wanted to try it but hated to miss the French Onion....

Tom said it was very good, he ate the whole thing.

Your meal looks a lot like ours except I had the quiche instead of the baked mac and cheese. Did you have a bit of cheese overload that day? That was my only "complaint"

Yeah, I was only able to eat about half of the mac and cheese. I LOVE cheese, though so it's wasn't too bad!

Isn't Remy great? I wish they would keep him there, but I heard he leaves in September.

Oh I didn't know that! Well, I'm glad we saw him when we did, then!

I would LOVE to be doing that with you right now. Because right now, I just got home from the Emergency Room with Tom. He's got kidney stones!!! Poor guy!

Thanks!! Yes, I did NOT want to have the generic wedding lide everyone else's. It was SO us!

Oh isn't he the cutest!!! He's taking a bath right now.

Day 2 cont.
July 20, 2009

So after a delicious lunch at Chefs de France, we walked around World Showcase. First we met Aladdin and Jasmine...
ry%3D400

We stopped on the bridge in Italy just to soak up the sights of the lagoon.
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We were a little surprised to see the Viking ship in Norway had been completely dismantled and pieces of it were like thrown in the bushes. :confused3
ry%3D480

Finally we got to my favorite pavilion...MEXICO!
But before going in, we HAD to get our margaritas!! I went for the traditional lime and Tom went for a NEW (and more expensive) blue flavor. I don't remember exactly what "blue flavor" was. :confused3 I know it had cactus salt on it, whatever that means.
ry%3D400

Inside Mexico, I was happy to see the parrot. Is this the same parrot that used to be in front of Pirates? Don't tell me if it's not because I want to know that they are using things that I miss in different places. It's now used as part of the Kim Possible thing. (WHICH, by the way, is awesome!! And I say that from someone who didn't actually do it. I say that because I saw so many families stopped in various places all over WS with this phone. It's the first time I ever saw kids actually having FUN in World Showcase. I think this was a brilliant idea on the imagineer's part to put something in place for the kids to do while the adults want to walk around WS!)
ry%3D480

YES, ladies and gentlemen, that is a LINE for the Gran Fiesta Tour!
ry%3D400

We finished up our margaritas and started for the THIRD time around WS! We went up into the back of Canada, which I don't think we've ever done before. A nice couple offered to take our picture.
ry%3D400

We stopped in France for some drinks. I got the pomegranate cocktail and Tom went for the Grey Goose slushie.
ry%3D400

Again we stopped in Italy, this time to watch the barges with the fireworks for Illuminations come out.
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

So we're walking past Germany, probably thinking about our next margarita and I hear my name! I look around and who do I see, but WLfamily!!! She spotted my backpack! YAY, my first DISer meet!! We chatted for a minute and went our seperate ways. I was already past the African Outpost and about to go over the bridge when I realized we didn't get a pic! So we ran back and thankfully she and her (WL)family were still there so we got our pic! She was very lovely and a pleasure to chat with!
ry%3D400

So for our next margaritas, Tom got strawberry and I got mango.
ry%3D400

Tom took this picture in the bathroom. He really appreciated Brawny for letting him know exactly how to wash his hands. He wasn't sure.
ry%3D480

After our 3 times around WS, we decided we'd better check out Future World for a little. Of course, we had to stop at the photopass photog on the way!
ry%3D400

We rode The Seas with Nemo and Friends, looked at the manatees for a while, then went to Spaceship Earth, where we watched our future unfold right before our eyes.

Up Next: Beaches and Cream and a very funny encounter in "Canada."

That stinks!

Poor Tom!

Did they pass?

:scared:Kidney stones! poor guy! hope he feels better soon!

Thanks!

We don't think they passed yet. The doc said it's really painful when it's in the place between the kidney and the bladder and once it gets to the bladder, it's not as painful. He's been fine for a few hours now, except feeling a little sick from the morphine! He's also on pain meds so I can't believe he's even awake right now. Hopefully it won't be too painful when they actually pass.

I thought they kept you in the hospital until they passed. :confused3

Is he going to get a get well gift from you? ;)

so sorry to hear about Tom! hope they pass soon and without pain. My DH had them twice and thankfully for him when they passed it was not painful. I was worried about this cruise, as he still has some that haven't passed yet, so I made sure that our insurance covered pre-existing conditions. This way he could sleep it off in the room and the insurance would cover it. When he gets the "feeling" usually they pass within 24 hours. I know the pain my DH was in, had to take him to the hospital the one time it was so bad...just for them to send him home with pain meds....guess there just isn't much you can do unless it is in a spot were they can go in and get it! And I don't think any man would like for that to happen:scared1:

Sending good thoughts to Tom and to you!

Parrot from outside POTC was last seen in DTD in the World of Disney store in the boys section singing up a storm, he seemed happy but there's no place like home. Feel better Tom, for what it's worth ..better now than on your trip.

Tell Tom I hope he feels better soon. I have had kidney stones and can truly empathize.

Thanks guys! He's way better now but still hasn't passed it (as far as we can tell). He was in SOOO much pain, it was like watching my sister when she was in labor! The main reason for going to the ER was because we really didn't know what it was. He was afraid it was his appendix. I thought he's have to stay until he passed it too, but really, there's nothing they can do. Hopefully it won't be too painful when it actually passes.

That's exactly what we were thinking!! Although, he DID end up in the medical center on the ship...but that's a story for later...

Good to know about the parrot. I hope he's as happy as he seemed. Really, what was the purpose of removing him from POTC?? Things like that don't make sense to me. Like, the animated chariot just before the Rom burning scene in Spaceship Earth. I mean, I understand the refurb and everything but you use the same line, the same background, yet you removed the animation?? WHY?? :confused3

Change just for the sake of change? I think it may be a rogue evil imagineer messing with our minds.

Im in! :thumbsup2
Great TR so far, loving it.
My sister and i also spotted some of the AC crew out and about in the parks doing other things.
they need to bring it back!!!
looking forward to more.
Have had and passed kidney stones, once they drop into the bladder, not painful at all, just weird when they come plopping out. :)

Love your report.

But, I wanna get married again and have you organize it! What a beautiful wedding. I hope my daughters will be as creative as you since we have been taking them to Disney since our youngest was 4 and the oldest 7, they are now 13 and 16. It was just absolutely wonderful. Glad your day wasn't ruined by the photographer.

Hope your DH is doing better with the stones. Looking forward to your next installment.

Thanks for all the well-wishing everyone!

As miserable as I was, it was a small miracle that it didn't happen on the honeymoon. It's also a plus that it happened on the weekend - I need to save all my sick/personal days for sneaky WDW trips!

As one Staten islander to another, we'll blame those stones on the landfill, glad to see your up and around.
