[Disney Commando]

I just started my trip report if anyone is interested in following along it is titled

Almost Anything Can Happen On A Commando WDW Vacation



I would post the direct link, but as you might already know I haven't learned the art of posting links or pics I'm a out in the field, hands on type, office work is not my thing

Currently on Day 3, figure I'd update everyone since OP was posted a few pages ago

Going to be getting into some good stuff, and since I went in pretty much blank slate, I got to fill in the blanks as we went along

Woo Hoo I got a number

yup spur of the moment trip as I made the mistake of looking online and flight cost were down .... then I look and FD is still had dates open!!! How could I not

So far my challange is I don't have enough days for all that I want to get done. Want to try MNSSHP, MK 40th day, TL, the other 3 Parks, DTD with only 5 day

have never eaten at any of these hope they are ok....

I have done dinner at the Coral Reef, we liked it, I had the steak it was smaller then I would have liked but it was really good. If you get seated by the giant tank that would be a plus, we were in the top row

We want to try Les Chefs and if the 1st seating is at 5pm you should be seated quickly

Since you don't think you have enough time to do all the parks, I'm thinking you have base passes or are planning alot of down time

If you are staying at a resort & have HP's, take advantage of the EMH'S and do 1 park in the A.M. and 1 in the P.M. this will keep the touring fresh, If you want to rest do it during the busy time 1-4

Well a few Commandos are ready or already in route to WDW or DL, I hope you all have a GREAT trip and let us know how everything went

Dave, I hope to get some text updates, let us know how your making out getting the Transportation Cards, I got faith in you

Sad to report that DH is taking Dozer to our vet on Mayne Island tonight to have him put down. There's no way he's going to last much longer anyway so why prolong things. We all are sleep deprived from him keeping us up all night with his howls of pain, so it's for the best, even though the timing couldn't be worse. Our female greyhound will have to go everywhere we go until another greyhound buddy is adopted for her sometime over our Thankgiving weekend (I think Oct 8 to 10th). If it weren't for the fact that I'm a severe over organizer, I'd be in big trouble about now.

Saying goodbye to a pet, is a difficult decision.

Sorry to hear about Dozer, I know it was hard for you but I'm sure you did the right thing (I've done it myself it's hard but it's alot better then have him suffer) I hope you can find a compatible companion for Belle that she will take to.

Since I've been back from WDW, something has really been bugging me I got 23 of the 25 Transportation Cards but since you can not get the other 2 at WDW, I've been on a hunt.

Now you might find this interesting and that is that card #25 is not a particular monorail at all, I have seen a pic of the card and it is in fact 11 pics of all the monorails in 1 card With this new development, I am now on a new quest for these 2 remaining cards to complete the set I hope to obtain them by the end of the year

After all I'm a Commando, this is my new mission, failure is not a option

It bites royally, but since he wouldn't have lived much beyond another 1 week at the most, with his entire right side wasting away, and basically being like Bambi on ice when trying to walk, there was no point in prolonging the agony and the quality of life card came into play. Being woken up in the middle of the night with a greyhound howling in pain for 5 to 10 mins at a time, has us all sleep deprived (YAWN!!). DH has taken him over to Mayne Island and will be taking him to the vet to be put out his misery tomorrow. Our female greyhound Catie is taking it well, but is depressed. Will be adopting another xracing greyhound in a couple of weeks, as the adoption group we are members of always has nice greyhounds up for adoption that would suit our needs. Besides we tend to adopt ones with the weird and oddball personalities that no one else would dare put up with their quirks. We are at 4 days and counting down for the trip to DL, and leave on Thurs. While my older son 8 knows what's going on with the hound and accepts it, my younger son doesn't know, and it's best for him that he not know until after the trip is over.

It was a freakishly long day; had to get up at 3:30am to get to the flight on time, then a layover in Toronto. On top of that, my suitcase is missing It got left in Winnipeg, then never showed up like they said it would. So now I"m without any toiletries, extra clothes, my halloween costume for the parties, and all my chargers and cords. Not sure what I'm going to do.

Glad you made it there safe Sorry to hear about your suitcase hope it shows up

All Star Movies is my stomping ground, if you are short on clothes, the washers and dryers are located in the building next to the pool

Also from Mighty Ducks you can take the bus form Movies or Music they are pretty much the same distance

I heard from Dave, and he arrived about a hour ago

Remember to try to get Transportation Cards from CM's on Buses, Monorails & Boats

Sorry to hear that your suitcase got lost. Here's hoping that it shows up soon. Sounds like a shopping spree is in order if you ask me. Don't let it get you down, and have a great trip!

I totally shopped! Got 2 new shirts, pair of shorts, and toiletries today. Did you know the gift shops sell undies for little kids and boxer shorts, but nothing for the ladies? Anyway, I was on the phone tonight with the airline, and while we were finishing up my file, there was a knock at the door. My suitcase finally made it!

I totally shopped! Got 2 new shirts, pair of shorts, and toiletries today. Did you know the gift shops sell undies for little kids and boxer shorts, but nothing for the ladies? Anyway, I was on the phone tonight with the airline, and while we were finishing up my file, there was a knock at the door. My suitcase finally made it!

I'm sure it was all Disney clothes so you got some things you might not have picked up otherwise Go figure stuff will always show up after you go shopping and are making arrangements

very hush around here but i did hear something about the bakery on main street having cupcakes!!! the only thing i have herd ron is special autograph sesions with authors and special 40th merchandise. we are going to hollywood in the am than over to the mk in the late afternoon to check it out. they also mentioned fireworks are going to be dif.? im sure it will be a mob scene. than to top off the day, disney is having a half marathon that day so there will be road detours closers etc.. if i hear anything ill try to keep you posted.

Yes, this commando is also interested in 40 year merchandise, celebrations. We will be there in early December.
