Has anyone been the week after Thanksgiving? How is the weather? I am worried about attractions being closed?
We're packing today!! It's quite cool already up here, so we can pack most of our stuff and have it waiting. We don't fly out until the 27th, but it takes a whole day to drive down to the airportSo we're going 2 days early so we can visit with family as well.
I've changed one of our meals; cancelled our DTD visit for our first day, as it finally hit me just how early we'll have to get up, and what a long day it's going to be. We'll do WPC later in the week. Instead, we'll eat in the food court and have a swim before hitting the hay early. lol!

I want to see as much as possible, but we have some limitations:
1). We will have my MIL, FIL,and SIL with us. One will be in a scooter and the other two do not walk very fast.
2). We are not doing the Christmas party.
3). We have four days in the parks and I have it planned like this:
Sun afternoon - Hollywood Studios
Mon - MK
Tues - Epcot
Wed - Epcot
We are staying at Kidani which is why we are skipping AK. This is a break from our normal pace, but Disney is about family and this may be the last time I can get the inlaws with us.
Any advice and help is always appreciated![]()

youll be ok dave. the crowds were not bad. i forget what year without looking but if i remember the weekends were alittle more crowded w/ locals but it was cool. all the christmas stuff and christmas party is going on.
Yeah - we locals will choke up the parks -
But seriously theduck why would you think many attractions would be closed? Its high season for Disney to entice all the holiday visitors so everything will be operational, only a few attractions are in line for major renovation - which they seem to avoid that time of year.
So make your plans, come see all the holiday decorations and rub shoulders with the locals. Enjoy!

I'm glad to see you planned ample time in Epcot, since you are not going to the Christmas Party at MK, there is alot to do here
Besides the reg shows each of the Countries do they also have Storytellers that will tell a story of that Countries Holiday TraditionBe prepared to visit each Country 2-3 times depending how many different shows or events they are doing (US had 3 plus the reg shows
)
Something you might consider that you and your FIL might enjoy (providing you both of you have hair) is the Harmony Barber Shop on your MK day, if you make a ressie for lets say noon
(hint hint) The Dapper Dans may show while you are in the chairs and sing a few Christmas songs dressed in thier finest Festive Holiday Outfits

Thanks for all of the tips. One of things I forgot to mention is that we have to go back to the room everyday so most everyone can take a nap. I am trying to get DW to have us stay at the park and the rest of the family can meet up with us when they come back.
I have never planned a trip in so little time 2 1/2 weeks is not nearly enough now I'm down to 8 day it is hard to be excited and scared all at the same time... I'm such an over planner.... There is next to nothing left for ADR's I have only two park day tours worked out and not nearly enough time between kids and life![]()

. Don't be scared it will keep you from staying focused, and have you 2nd guessing
Dave made some of his ADR's the other day at 8 days out, and was able to find some good ADR's![]()

Hi everyone! Just to give a brief update on my upcoming trip to DL. The hand is healed, but now I've got an 11 yr old greyhound that I figure had a stroke at the beginning of the month, and is on it's last leg so to speak. The right side of his body is wasting away and it's debatable whether he's going to last to the trip, or die while we are away (OH JOY!!). I'm more stressed out the dog than the trip at the moment, and am hoping he hangs on long enough for us to go on the trip.
