Excellent! Thanks, Ron!
I'll introduce myself. I've been a member of the Dis Dads boards for years, but changed my user name a few months ago so had to start from scratch. In 3 days, we have our 7th family trip to Disney. We're definitely a Commando style family and my kids will tell you that my favorite thing to do is to make Dining Reservations and re-adjust the tour plan. And I'm teaching them well. For our trip next week, all of them have the trip plan memorized (expect for my wife, I'm the planner). I caught our oldest studying it again last night!
So for this trip:
Friday: Land at MCO at 2:45. ME to BLT (our DVC home resort)
Friday Dinner: California Grill
Saturday: Epcot, then Boardwalk
Saturday Lunch: 11:30am Coral Reef
Saturday Tour: 12:30pm DD & I are doing the Aqua Tour. I did this with her brother when he was 8 and she's been waiting 2 years to be old enough to do it herself! DW, DS & DS on their own
Saturday Dinner: Kouzinna. A family favorite. We are huge Iron Chef fans so anything Cat Cora does is fine by us!
Sunday: Magic Kingdom
Sunday Lunch: Plaza. Another family favorite. Love to meet the Main Street Characters that come in. Miss Chef Ken, who was there for 35 years and retired last year...
Sunday Dinner: Grand Floridian Cafe. Haven't eaten here before, but the menu looks great. Might also call an audible and eat at the TOTWL one night...
Monday: Split day. DD & I go to AK in the am. DW, DS & DS go to HS. My DW and boys are big roller coaster fans, so they're off to do that. My daughter and I will spend a quieter morning at AK.
Monday Lunch: Split. Yak & Yeti (DD & me), Brown Derby (DW, DS & DS)
Monday Dinner: 'Ohana. Our of our "must do's" that we haven't done in the last 2 trips.
Tuesday: Epcot in AM. HS in PM.
Tuesday Lunch: Via Napoli
Tuesday Dinner: Mama Melrose then Fantasmic.
Wednesday AM: Wild Africa Trek Tour. Heard mixed reviews but very excited nonetheless!
Wednesday Lunch: Tusker House
Wednesday Dinner: Wolfgang Puck. Never eaten there, but again, huge Food Network fans, plus it is close to...
Wednesday Night: Cirque du Soleil! Did this years ago when our kids were much younger. DW has been dying to go back.
Thursday AM: Epcot.
Thurday Lunch: Teppan Edo. My oldest's favorite restaurant. He's allergic to nuts so can't eat any of the food, but loves the show.
Thursday Dinner: Hoop-Dee-Doo Review. Haven't been since I was a kid. My father and his wife are joining us at this part of the trip.
Friday: Magic Kingdom
Friday Lunch: Crystal Palace. Who doesn't love Pooh?
Friday Dinner: California Grill again to celebrate the end of a wonderful trip.
Saturday AM: Chef Mickey's for Breakfast, then check out and maybe hit the Magic Kingdom one last time before leaving.
Kids (and parents) are literally bouncing with joy in anticipation!
